Yes, but they can also activate from IR any time, and the minimum IR-time was passed already long ago. I mean, i know they have other preferences like fans and fantasy players , i just wonder where that advantage should be as flexibility is now long gone.

Georgiev starts tomorrow. Lundqvist Saturday. Fast is OK and will play. Mika is skating on his own, won’t go on the trip and will skate here on his own while the team is away.

If it didn't get them pumped up for the following season, wouldn't you question their character/compete level? I don't see how making the playoffs would ever be bad for development.

Bottom line, the only negative from making the playoffs, especially with a young team, would be not having a higher draft pick. And, frankly, even that is debatable.
