I think they shuold hold tight and see how it all looks. They survived 4 and 5 of the top 9 forwards out for games. Sid didnt pay last game and the Pens were the superior playing team the last 2 periods of the game.

One of those players was expected to be a mainstay in the top-six and the other a bottom-six to be used elsewhere when needed.

Simon putting up 30-35 points in a top 6 role at 750k a year is acceptable, especially if other numbers are as good as they have been in the past (as of right now they’re not).

Yeah..but alot of people wrote them off before game #2 of this season because of a lot more injuries than currently...and I know no one replaces Sid (thats also a point for not trading) but there's a sprinkling of young guys trying to stay in the lineup giving major effort every night. The team is playing good over all and kept it up without Sid the other night.
