Say Boesner and Virtanen for Dahlin, Sheary - Buff36
I don't see that making this team better. And I like Boeser. |

Yeah, he brought em in or extended them. There's not a single one of his UFAs I would keep - jcragcrumple
But 3 weeks ago we had the best 4th line in hockey.
Or so most on here said. |

I'm pretty sure the advanced numbers still say that. Their x/GF is stratospheric. Unfortunately none of them have any hands.
13 minutes a night for 3 combined goals. And they dont have the 13% o zone starts to blame this year. They're over 30% which is an enormous waste of time to trot that trio out for an offensive start. And the twins have been out there as extra attackers. At least they're good at the PK. Oh wait, the PK is mediocre too. At least they fight. Wait, no, they dont do that either. |

Good. They'd be 0-7-0 in their last seven if they did. |

I heard there was a closed door meeting with Terry and Jason the other day
and yelling could be heard in the hallway - homiedclown
Now I would’ve loved to hear that argument...... pegula isn’t wrong though. Botts needs to improve this team. It can’t sink again |

I would almost 97.5% not trade Dahlin, but could he get you a couple Hi end forwards that could help you, are defense could survive without him. There is nobody on this team that could probably pull in a trade what he could. But maybe not either he really hasn't looked that good. - Buff36
Relax, he's 19 years old. Hedman looked like a (frank)ing train wreck year 2. Think if Tampa jumped ship. I understand you said 97.5% but even that is just crazy unless you're getting severe overpayment (McJesus level package, which no team would do) |

No
Botts is 17 games into a new coach, that he chose
He changed joker, montour, miller, vesey and Johansson.
How is that watching a floater?
I appreciate botts patience. - Boss34
He has definitely overhauled the team but the remaining players left over are the problem
Risto
McCabe
Girgs
Larry
E rod
Bogo
Scandella (before this year)
It’s the same players and same results.

I know he's young, and don't want to trade him, but sometimes you gotta rattle the cage. |

That's not rattling the cage. That's tipping it over and ending up with a Planet of the Apes scenario. |

If Dahlin ends up where 99.9% of the "experts" think he will, you don't trade that away.
And if you do, there's no way you're receiving equal value in return. Ever. |

He has drafted better, I think than Murray. Obviously we won't know for a few more years. The eye test says he has thus far.
Big knock is bringing back and bringing in turd players like Vesey, Lazar, Girgs, Lockport Larry, and having a steadfast policy of not dumping bad contracts. Ex: Okposo. That's one and probably the worst. The others I believe we're out of after this season?
Also not enough trades/manuevers to bring in top end talent.
Obviously I don't know what teams want for a Taylor Hall type player. I know it may be alot, but it's time to take another risk and trade futures for a Top 6 guy. - mattsox
If Botts makes the bold move and moves Risto or even Montour at this point for a 2C/2RW we would stop caring about the 4th line that actually does then job extremely well. Would also drop another player to the third line which would help that line as well.
We lack “top end” talent. One way to achieve that is drafting high. Botts’ success rests on Mittelstadt and Cozens shoulders. |

You’re willing to be 3 players with lack of NHL experience will play the heavy d-zone minutes that the GLO line play ?
The problem isn’t the 4th line that does it’s job, it’s due to the lack of top end talent in our top 6. We have a winger playing Center right now and in an ideal world he’s a 3rd line LW on a contending team. |

Agreed.
It's reaching when people complain about the 4th line just to bash the GM.
Now if they want to talk about a lack of a line 2 C or RW, then so be it. |

"4th Line"
Larry - 1g 1a -2, 14 minutes a night - No points in last 8 games
Girgensons - 1g 3a -4, 13 minutes a night - No points in last 8 games
Okposo - 1g 4a even, 11 minutes a night - No points in last 6 games
I think all of these points came in like 2 games. Die by the Blade is so incredibly impressed with them too. |
