I hate to admit it, but Babcock_Blows was right all along. Even I bought into the hype, but as it turns out it really was just that, hype. No results. |

I agree. I think Siakim could lead this team to a championship.
At least I feel they could get back to the finals again. - Aaron_85
Hes not there yet. But hea on his way |

It’s an excuse the so-called “fans” use to deflect blame away from Mike “the living embodiment of egotism” Babcock. - Steven_Seagull
So it’s Babs fault they dominated but played ringette in their own zone? C’mon ya bird...I’d like to see Keefe in there though...maybe I’d be able to get some freebies for some games 🥰 |

This could be a rough weekend. Playing a Boston and Pittsburgh back to back.
Boston coming off a couple losses and leafs constantly losing the 2nd game of a b2b. |

Their special teams weren’t very good either, and that is coaching.
Islanders were 2/2
Leafs were 0/3
Thats been a constant all year. |

Why is up to the coach to get professional adults to play 60 mins of hockey?
Its on the players. They need to be responsible and take ownership of their lazy play
Quit putting the full blame on the coach. The players need to wake the fack up. If they cant play for babs, then move them.
And maybe babs as well. - Fakepartofme
Ask the Blues of last year.
Ask the Bruins a few years ago.
Babs deserves more time, there’s a lot of new players and coaches....but he’s headed down that path. |

I think its the coaching thats causing causing the 5v5 numbers to crater this season

There is a new system and players are being asked to play a different style for sure.

Both teams we're doing terribly at some point until they changed their coach though.
Sometimes, a change is needed. |

@IanGraph
I'd argue they aren't playing to their strengths tactically (D are too passive, aren't jumping up in the rush or pinching as much as they should)
It's resulted in a weirdly conservative style, lots of point shots, and not much offence on the counter attack. They've been bad.
the point shots are glaring. |

Lol.
There’s too many fjords.. they’d have to check them all looking for escaped slaves. And that would take a long time.

Leafs were dominating, but it’s Babs fault we lost? Derp...how about not leaving the zone until the puck does and being a little tougher on the puck....ringette players sometimes 🥴 - Garnie
Yeah, I feel like I watched a different game than a lot of people did last night.
I thought it was pretty clear which team was the better one. |

2nd was probably the only "dominate" period, but they were the better team throughout. |

Its feeling that way.
He needs a team like the islanders. He has done his best work with a team lacking skill and talent.
Olympics aside as I'm sure I could coach that team. |
