That was a pretty insane bounce, though. That garbage ice makes the ACC ice look good.

that's what I'm saying though.. Those bounces never seem to be in our favour.. Always against us.

There’s another loss for the Leafs this weekend....AHL scrubs and the backup goalie and we’ll still lose

Did we fire/trade anyone yet?

Has Dubas come out of his bunker yet?

How long will Shanahan put up with this load of steaming poop?

1st 15-7 shot attempts for the Leafs
2nd 23-14
3rd 20-14

Just need to hit the net and get some rebounds banged in and play a little tougher in our own zone. JMO

Kerfoot should have buried the guy who scored 5 hole, instead he tries to stick check him....

I agree that they aren't putting in the effort consistently. I also think they are overcoached or overmanaged in some way. The PP simply isn't effective yet it does the exact same thing time in and time out. I am not a creative nor good hockey player, but I don't try and do things the same each time. For some reason the Leafs do. Why? That's not on the players. It smacks of micromanagement, and when that happens, you lose dynamicism, and you lose the players.

I don't know if I'm right - it's a guess just from watching the play and knowing what we know about general human behaviour. But the disinterest in the players is permeating into the fans.

I'm not even sure if I'm going to watch this weekend. It's ridiculously frustrating.

There is something wrong in the room. I don't know if it is Babs, or just a poor group.

I don't recall ever seeing a team this talented look this bad. Even their wins this year have almost all been against bad teams. It is not a stretch to say they are lucky to be where they are... which is still out of the playoffs on a point% base.

We laughed and laughed at Bergevin claiming the Habs problems were a attitude/culture issue.

I am not laughing anymore. The Habs, with less talent are a much better team right now.

Hopefully they wake the F up. On the other hand, maybe they need a season that embarrasses them and teaches them a lesson.

The Subban/Pacioretty/Galchenyuk trades did wonder for our team.

You do remember who was on the dominating wings teams he coached, right?
- Fakepartofme

Just like the Olympic team. Couldn't lose. Right after that he sunk to just making the playoffs with the same players.

All those players got old and injured
It happens.
Im not a huge babs fan, but to blame it all on him is lame.

Leafs were dominating, but it’s Babs fault we lost? Derp...how about not leaving the zone until the puck does and being a little tougher on the puck....ringette players sometimes 🥴
- Garnie

How about making the players do just that?

I don't see anyone doing this.

People are saying they don't like the system he is using and how he is deploying certain players.

Very few are saying "every single loss is on Babs"

I’ll make a call to Dubas, most of those guys we have won’t engage....we’ll need to make a trade or 3.

yes

If I was forced to pick a single word that would be it.

I just think the effort problem is a team culture/dressing room issue.

I don't blame Babcock.

I do think the players are not playing for him, for whatever reason. Maybe they just don't give a poop in general, or they dislike him, who knows?

Their systems are terrible. There is just no way around it. I just think the problem is more with the execution of the systems than the systems themselves.

They seem to be trying to play a certain system and they just can't put it together.

I just find it weird that they play like the 2009 Leafs still despite having no players left from that era.

Agreed.

It makes me wonder if they can put it together is it going to completely flip their game? I'd hope so.

I am just not convinced its the right system for them, its been 20 games you'd think they'd start to show signs of doing so.
