They also drafted a lot of busts. They also didn’t hit in any pick outside of the first overall.

And it’s crazy. Edmonton now has two of the top I’ll say 10 forwards in the game and they are on fire.

They also have the best player the game has ever seen in McDavid.

It’s no coincidence they are now successful.

If this team is out of it by December 1st, they need to blow it up big time. Get rid of all the UFA's and one of Risto/McCabe. Put Okposo in Rochester. Bring in Tage, Lazar and a few others to fill the gaps. Build around:

Oloffson (*low cost contract)

One of Risto or McCabe

he's a known quantity coming from a good team that plays the way botts wants his team to play...and he has loads of playoff experience as well...miller's a third-pairing d-man who got bumped by a duo featuring a rejuvenated Scandella and a 20 yr. old with plenty of upside who's already better than him

The thing is though Miller was the top prize that Botts brought in this year. He was supposed to help stabilize this defense.

He is now a healthy scratch because there is a log jam. It’s an awful look.
