Put him with Skinner and Rhino, see what they can do. Eichel with ollie and Mojo. See if Erod can Center Vesey and Sheary.

A reasonable idea imo

First game back from injury. Tweaked something in his knee that got blown up last year so they rested him for a bit.

Easing him back into the lineup. He'll swap spots with Wallmark when he's healthy again.

- BINGO!

That was my failed attempt to trigger some outrage from over the summer.

No,
the goal is to build a Stanley Cup Contender

And if that means taking more time to develop Tage or Cozens or whoever,
then that’s what you do 100% of the time

- jdfitz77

The same reason why we bottomed out for Cozens last year instead of trying to overspend for something when we lack assets as it is.

This is what happens when you over invest in a position group
- jcragcrumple

like having mccoy as a rb
sign gore and yeldon and then draft a rb that falls to you in the draft, that you never thought would fall to you?

I only give out 10% of what I hear

if I told you the bills were trying to make a trade for russell wilson the day we drafted allen, you would have hung me quicker then the guards hung epstein

- homiedclown

I don't want to know 'everything' they are working on. No use crying over deals that 'could have been'. Do we need this place to be even more soul crushing?

Yeah, I'll stick to the view of what I saw when he was here. A good player that didn't quite help as much as you're alluding to (again he didn't win any of those here. And of course being on a good team helps, and I'm not tryin to dog the player, I like what he does. Maybe we were 3 years to early for him)
- SDSabre

He’s a really good top6 player
Bottom line...
we could use one of those

True or false?

Gotcha.

Here, let me try:

RYAN DZINGEL ONLY COSTS $3.375 MILLION PER YEAR.

At the same time, though, he's partially right. Good GM's find good trades to make. He did that with Skinner. The rest have either been so-so or bad. Not finding one for Ristolainen could prove costly.
- buffalofan19

Come on now... It’s not Xbox either dude

Just bc we want a good trade now,
doesn’t mean it’s possible

Take your Skinner example
Was that deal available earlier in the summer?
Doubt it
Otherwise, why wouldn’t he have done it?

TIMING matters A LOT when trying to make deals

If it was possible for GMs to just “find good trades” whenever they wanted,
then they’d be made a hell of a lot more

We've already moved a top ten pick natural center to wing, leave Mitts at center and let him develop into one of, if not the, most important positions on a team.
- GilPerreault11

I agree
And they should do the same with Cozens

I just looked up that deal. I forgot that Brayden McNabb also went to LA in that deal.
- buffalofan19

Yep... not all trades are good ones
I got sh!t from ppl on here for blasting that terrible trade too

Thanks for your service GMTM

I'm going to take your word and assume that is true.

If I had an inside source, though, that told me Brandon Beane asked Seattle what they wanted for Russel Wilson, and they said "3 firsts and Tre White", I wouldn't exactly equate that to "they tried to trade for Russel Wilson".

If Murray showed the same patience Botts has, instead of debating about who is better between Eichel and Matthews we could very well be talking about how lucky we are to have both.

That would’ve been amazing
Always been a big Russell Wilson fan!
Surprised Seattle would even consider it though

Jack on track for 39/51/90
Sam on track for 39/33/72
VO on track for 34/24/58
Skins on tract for 34/14/48
Mojo on track for 19/29/48
Dahlin on track for 5/53/58
Mitts on track for 14/20/34
Risto on track for 0/34/34
Joker on track for 5/24/24
Montour should give something along the lines of Risto's 34 pts

For their assigned role, most are producing adequately.
Some more adequately than others

The Defensive results are very reasonable, especially given the sh!show of last year.
Krueger's system seems solid, and positively impacts Offensive metrics when executed properly.

The issue is no production from Sheary, Vesey, Sobotka for their assigned role in the top 9.
For this season, upgrading 2 of those positions would also provide an uplift to their linemates of Skins, Mojo, Mitts on lines 2 and 3.

The required action is very clear to me.

I feel like i never get a straight answer from you when u bring this up

You’ve said,
we should tank until we get enough talent in place to be able to contend with the upper end teams
Tampa, Boston, the Caps, etc

Are we there now?
Or should we tank again?

Skinner at 48 points for 9 million is a disaster.
