I can't agree with that because we've seen what injuries to our bottom six has done. Wait until it starts happening to our top six. To be a playoff team you need depth to fill in while your injured guys recover. To be a true contender you need so much more.

Depth got better this offseason but the prospects aren’t quite ready to help. Still looks like 1-2 yrs for them other than maybe OJ. A healthy Ferland & Roussel would go a long ways helping consistency in the games against tough competition.

A goalie and coaching change last season took the Blues from the bottom to the top.

Year before that Washington did minor things.

Teams at the top tweak, teams at the bottom make big changes.

What is Van going to do?

Wait on prospects to be ready to make the big step up. That’s in a year or 2 imo. In the meantime it’s keep building an identity & decrease the stretches of losses. The D has to play better. We should be TDL sellers.
