Google it . Also Hocky DB can give you all stats within seconds. Every team selects a team mvp, unsung hero etc at year end. This is not something you see in NHL stats but just team recognition of it players at year end.

While I am fine with the two first rounders we got for schenn he wasn’t amazing but wasn’t bad. Dont forget he was an excellent player in big stage games. Here he didn’t always bring that consistency when he was here. I loved his game when he was on and wish they played him more with coots. But like I said was ok with the return.

Right now in his career there is no doubt adding a player like that to this roster Improves it. With the cap hit no not possible.

Because I think they are and were good pickups but I dont think either makes them a contender, just like I don't think B Schenn on the team this year makes them a contender.

I think we are looking at next season or the season after with the window really opening up.

You dont think adding Hayes helps them getting close to contending?Ok then, if Hayes isnt here who is their 2nd line center?Its a process.They have young players who still need to improve and grow.Adding players like Hayes absolutely helps the process along.If you want to sit and wait for kid after kid it will never work. You need to add established players.I love how people are judging the Hayes signing already.

Schenn when he played here everyone complained that he sucked 5 vs 5 ,he was lazy,pp specialist etc.Now he wins a cup and people questioned the move.Schenn in philly wouldn't have made a difference. He needed that kick in the ass to wake him up.Getting traded is a piece of humble pie that boy needed. I hope Farabee and Frost together will be way more valuable than Schenn.

Relatively speaking, there are few players who are true difference makers. None of the players the Flyers added this past off season, qualify for that yet everyone for good reasons was excited about the moves. Schenn was a good player here. He was younger and still developing but still a good player. Anyone who doesn't think so is wrong. Schenn on this team right now in place of Farabee, would help them. I see some things in Farabee as a 19 year that makes me think that long term, he will be a better player that Schenn but I don't know that for a fact. I just don't understand why for some, Schenn has to be disparaged as a player to like the trade. The trade was a deal that helped both teams. The Blues got a key player on a Cup team. The Flyers got two young high quality talents in the deal. The trade doesn't have to be justified by pretending that Schenn isn't a good player or wouldn't help the Flyers if he was still here.

I agree Schenn now is an upgrade on Farabee, of course i think he was a good player here and is even better now.Im just saying Schenn took a lot of nights off and was frustrating to watch at times.You knew he had another gear.I remember him vs the caps in the playoffs. He was physical, was involved, you noticed him all the time he was on the ice. Unfortunately that Schenn didnt show up too many nights in the regular season. So thats why he was expendable. Lets both hope Farabee and Frost are contributing in a yr or 2.Cheers

I think it’s fair to say the Schenn trade helped him grow as a player/person. He def had inconsistent times with us. Perhaps he felt safe with his job, which no one should feel safe in any level of work. I think it woke him up a bit as well as motivated him. Sometimes a guy just needs a change of scenery to reach a next level.

That certainly helps but when you get traded a player has two choices: make the most of the new opportunity or feel sad for yourself lol. Schenn made most of it
