Easy night for Rinne...he didn't have to play all 60 minutes.

When their passing is off - they are a pretty bad team. When their passing is on - they are a pretty good team. Tonight their passing was excellent all game long which allowed them to clear the d-zone and carry the puck into the o-zone and WOW - what a result. It was extra sweet it came against Nashville and the "easiest shutout ever" pecker. Ba-bye now.

THAT's HOCKEY BABY !

They will go as far as Lehner and Crawford (or Crawford and Lehner) will take them.

The won’t score 5 or 7 every nite, as they have 4 of the last 5 games.

- StLBravesFan

I think you are correct. They siit one over .500 and if they even manage a .500 record they not only miss playoffs but at not make the draft lottery. Yet perhaps Colliton remains coach. Crawford and Saad jettisoned to create cap space for new big money for the cat and Strome. If not right away then does tie next year Entwhistle debuts. Cool your jets on Barrett. He needs to work on his skating. Suggest summer and skating coach then still one year AHL

Doesn’t matter anyhow you spin it.

A 7-2 drubbing, on the road in Nashville...

That’s a statement win.

These boys look real, real good.

Still firmly believe it’s the deepest collection of forward depth we’ve had in years. Let’s not waste it.

Crow and Lehner want to face about 50 shots per week. Of course they were thinking spread over 2 games, not every game. But you can’t always get what you want, you get what you need.

Across the board, the messages sent with the scratches seem to have ultimately had a positive impact on the players.

Nice win, hate the Preds. Impressed with their passing tonight, and a really good effort defensively. What a difference five NHL dmen make, unlike last year.

Nashville thought they had the game win before the opening face off. They got caught too many forwards in deep. They also have been surrendering a lot of goals recently. Supposed to I be a still good set of dmen yet this team maybe needs better coaching.

Anyone who follows hockey closely and or has played at high levels .....knows that you have to play defense. If Colliton is so bright and Stan thinks he has a great young coach, then sell me on this ...because I do not fully comprehend how you win and go far with this system. Even if personnel improrves. A non hockey background figure like McDonough had to call time out. Seems that for each good move Bowman makes, he has a poor or questionable decision as well. I wouldn't call them all inept but they aren't going I lead a anywhere given their shortcomings.

I notice our opponents take a ton of shots that have a very very very low percentage chance of going in

Great game tonight. It looked like the D were much better than previous games at stopping passes and shots with their sticks. I don't see how that's a system thing unless they're using their instincts a little more.

Also, this was the first game all season that I watched the Chicago feed, and Eddie and Pat were much more professional than last season when they seemed to be a distraction from the game on most nights.

Agree with the whole post. IMO the difference we see in their zone is the D is allowed to read and react, as Keith said they were not allowed to do under the "old" system. Now they are reading/reacting and getting in lanes to jump or deflect passes. .......But they are allowing 40ish plus shots a night under the read/react system, but it is allowing cleaner exits triggering a rush and speed.

Agree on Foley and Eddie. They must have been spoken to about the wonderful best friend banter about Diana's cookies. Quite simply they were unlistenable for me the last few yrs, in fact I wouldn't I'd get the opponent feed from Reddit, but that has changed this yr and the drastic change can't be a coincidence....... Quite frankly I forgot how good Foley can be.
