I'm paying the price in my later years from playing sports, broken bones, separated shoulders and a torn ACL and MCL along with worn out miniscus has left me with arthritis everywhere and I'll need to replace my right knee at some point. Something you'll not have to worry about loser boy.

I'm sorry your sewing circle was rough on you for so many years.

Didn't see the game last night. How did Murphy look in his return?

Certainly the last several games have been much better.

It helps to score 5 or 7 goals, as they have in 4 of the last 5.

Let’s see if they can win when the don’t - a 2-1 game, or 3-2.

They’ve given up 27 goals in the 3rd - 2 were ENG - so 25 which translates to 3.9 for a 3-period game. Some of the 3rd period results have been due to “score adjusted” situations, but you don’t want to be as loose in third period crunch time.

Let’s see how things play out over the season. Encouraging the last two weeks, more fun to watch, and only an adjusted point behind the teams ahead in the wild card race. A bubble team in projection on October 1, back to being a bubble team today.

But I’m not ready to anoint Colliton a quality NHL head coach yet.

- StLBravesFan

As a glass half full guy, I like what I’m seeing. This team is playing good hockey. As a realist I know that this team at this point in time is not a cup contender. This team will have to work their butt off to get in the dance, and I think they will. To be honest, this team needs to score four to five goals a night to win, not sure we can win the 2-1 games on a consistent basis. Just my $0.02

Was reading an ESPN article online. Here's an excerpt...

There's only one threshold to watch for now with Dach: whether he hits 40 games, which brings him one year closer to unrestricted free agency. As with Boqvist, the Blackhawks don't intend to play Dach every night. One of the biggest reasons: At 6-foot-4 and just 164 pounds, he can get pushed around, and needs to bulk up.

If that were the case he'd look like an extra from the "The Walking Dead".

He better fill some paint cans with cement and start with the squats. I'd also recommend wheat germ in his coffee. Or a lot of pizzas.

So a 2nd interview so the preds can whine and moan about how "unfortunate" they were? Where is Foley and Eddie when you need them?
- kwolf68

Ha! You did have the home feed last night. It was AWFUL!!!

As much as I female dog about Pat and Edzo working in their lame open mic night material, they definitely are way more fair balanced in their game call.

I bet both dogs are Chihuahuas, which would fit in with the Great Tattoo's personality, but I fear when DACA is rescinded we will see Tattoo Boy cry yet again.

Look at what an offensive beast Krugs became after graduating. He couldn’t rip a shot through wet paper stretched across the net before attending. Ok he couldn’t after either but still...

They do but are even or ahead in high danger chances most every game during this run as Powers seems to have missed in the following. Just read a good piece by Powers in The Athletic that it seems most here have concluded, I know I have:

The Blackhawks’ road to success may not be the same type of possession hockey as it was during their runs to three Stanley Cups, but they’re carving their own path to points. Being on the wrong side of shot attempts, shots on goal, scoring chances and high-danger chances isn’t as important as being on the right side of the scoreboard.

Hockey analytics be damned. Calvin de Haan should start making T-shirts that read, “All that Corsi bullpoop.” This is the new Blackhawks’ hockey. It may not always be pretty, but it’s proving to be effective and the same sample size for that is growing.

The Blackhawks aren’t going to win most games by five goals like they did Saturday night. Some puck luck played into their hands. Brent Seabrook floating backhanded shots don’t often find the inside of the net. But the Blackhawks can certainly beat teams playing like just they did during this stretch against the Predators, Vegas Golden Knights, Toronto Maple Leafs, Pittsburgh Penguins and Vancouver Canucks. The margin for error may not be great, but they can win games weathering storms, giving their offensive players the freedom to do what they do best, relying on Lehner and Corey Crawford to stop a high quantity of shots and winning or at least staying even in the special teams’ battle.

not much room for disagreement as far as the regular season...but teams like this rarely get a whiff of playoffs or are gone early...yes there are exceptions (bolts last year) can't depend on scoring 4-5 a game nor goalies sporting a .940 save percentage with high quality barrage they face every night. Entertaining yes...sustainable winning...no.

Probably not, but I’ll take winning and entertaining during the rebuild. If Lehner and Crow keep playing this way they could just as easily steal a series or two also.

i have seen stats that dach a leader in taking hits per 60 min. players are trageting him also he seems to make himself vulnerable to those hits....

as he grows and mature physically and in how to play he going to be beast and those hits will disappear. some have talked about a getzlaf type of player...thats possible in terms of size but they seem to be different players...

right now i can't think of a center with his skill set and where he finally fills out around 6'4 215-220.

but please none of this...

The Hawks are very young. I would be very happy if the young’ns just get a taste of what playoff hockey is all about.
