Bad thing about this win? The game is over and now I feel obligated to watch the poopshow in Los Angeles.

I don't know i see a team gaining confidence. They dominated that 3rd period, another game they did a great job of sticks and bodies on shots, playing heavy on the puck like the Preds game, Sabres were never in it.

The couple weeks of dumping the puck has payed off, they are being smart with the puck especially later in the game until they got the 4 goal lead they got complacent.

Penalty kill has been excellent

Pissed off Gus is a solid dman in his own zone player

Toews when he has a little physicalness in his game, he plays so much better

So best backhand shots in the league
Crosby
Kane
Dach

Murphy does make this defense better

Toews deserved 3 pts tonight. Nylander and Saad were not good.
Even Toews' goal only came because Saad mishandled a puck. This is starting to remind me of the 15-16 and 16-17 seasons...Toews had low point totals, but it was because his linemates couldn't do poop.

17-18 was all on Johnny.

He had 2 breakaway chances the other night, 0 for 2, was that his team mates fault to.

No. Saad has been a beast most of the season and Nylander is having a real solid year and potted 2 last night. Toews was atrocious the first 10 games. He’s found his legs and looks good again.

I expect that line will really start scoring in bunches they have been close.

Saad has never had good hands but there are some games (like tonight) where it looks like he has no hands. He's not a bad passer but he flubs a lot of plays because it looks like he has no feel for the puck.

So, are we now a good team, bubble team, still bad? I personally have my opinions, but who really knows There is a lot to like and they seem to be pretty adept at stopping the other team and countering pretty fast. Still some areas to clean up, but there is a lot to like. Nice to see some enjoyment from the team.

Still no top pairing but a ton of forward depth. Young forward depth too. If our goal tending keeps playing at an elite level this is a playoff team.

What I liked about tonight's game is that the Hawks looked like a team built for the playoffs, assuming that they keep trending in the right direction. Smith and Carpenter are the kind of guys that you love to see eat up minutes in a tough series. DeHaan, Matta and Murphy all play a physical game when necessary. I'd like to see Gus in the press box if this team makes the playoffs, just too risky to have him out there. One bad turnover can turn a series around.

It was but not sure the Hawks can match the Crosby Malkin Kessel combo.

One thing is apparent. Stan has amassed a lot young forward talent with Dmen in the pipeline.

Murphy working with Goodman all summer shows too. He looks a lot more agile, better balance, and more explosive first step. Dcat working wiht Goodman has taken his game to another level he’s tough on the puck and has the strength/leverage to out work larger opponents. Hope Dach gets a summer in with him.

Love that the kid said he enjoys being hit... gets him in the game. He’s gonna be an absolute stud. Getzlaf but maybe better hands. Better skater too.

Kirby Dach is the real (frank)ing deal. Maata is a really great addition. I see him being around for a while.

Is the Drake still in concussion protocol or is it just that JC is not tampering with the line up?

holy poop...the rams did everything to say "please beat us" and the bears offense said "are you kidding...we would rather beat ourselves"

this team is heading to 5-11 and an enormous WTF just happened off season...now what

he and sharp are the co-winners in biff the breakaway contest...deek left, deek right and stuff into the goalies pads..

I said tonight for a reason. He played well, and he's been playing well for 5th he last several games, but hasn't been racking up points. Last night's game was the first time this season that I really felt that it was on his linemates. I hope that doesn't continue.
