You're not going to be able to steal Athanasiou from Yzerman that easily. |

Athanasiou and a 2nd for Pilut, Bogosian and a 1st
Pilut is an NHL ready D prospect who will play top six this year and probably 2nd pairing after that.
BOGO is just to make it work under the cap, he's a UFA next year anyway. If he is ever healthy maybe Detroit can swap him for a late pick to someone looking to add a D for a playoff run.
Sabres 1st will probably be in the 10-20 range. Detroit's second will probably be in the 32-37 range.
Sabres get a guy who for all his struggles and issues is still a top six forward, and they desperately need one of those. Beggars can't be choosers, how many other 2C's are there on the market? |

I think Yzerman should try to do whatever he can to get AA as detroits rep at the ASG this year. People know hes fast, but I dont think a lot people understand how fast.
Showcasing him in some skating competitions might cause a bidding war for him. Hes one of the only guys in the league that would give McDavid a run for his money. |

We need to trade for a first from a bad big market team so when the nhl moves them up in the lottery it is actually us. Chicago, Rangers, Kings, etc |

It does seem that we could do a trade with AA and take some $ back to really max our return. Hmm |

AA straight up for Ristolainen. Yzerman won’t take a bunch of trash like that.

AA is a 25 year old speedster that scored 30 goals last year with virtually no offensive help around him. If that isn't worth a first round pick, I don't know what is. |

Habs need a top pairing left shot defenceman or a sniping winger. Why would they have any interest when there is already a logjam at center? - Riverain96
Maybe because AA isn't a natural center, Here's more or less playing either LW/RW Montreal doesn't have what we would want for AA anyways. So AA to Montreal will never happen Eklund is a royal |

That's trash for Detroit though, No way Yzerman would do that. It'll be something around AA for Ristolainen. |

Is this a joke? AA would cost you Ristolainen and then some. Not this trash. |
