How about those Av's though, great young team! Even with two major injuries. Nazzy solidified that second line center spot behind Mac, I wish we could find one and move Bo down to the 3rd line where he belongs.

On a side note, I was golfing at Bear Mountain on Monday with the boys, Jody (he owns Jacks Pub on the mountain) was there, his son and Tyson Barrie are best friends. Anyway, he was just out in Trauna visiting Tyson and told Jody he (frank)ing hates it there. Said Blabcock is the biggest idiot he's ever met for a coach, arrogant wiener. He can't wait to get out of there.

I have an old flame for the AV/Nordiqu franchise. Flame is getting hotter. No team in my life(post childhood) had as many of my most liked players pass through. Sakic with the club again....

Toronto is headed for another reset. Love it...

Amazing what a fall he's had as a coach He's getting paid insane money on a team with a lot of firepower and is still finding a way to be mediocre.
- NorthNuck

I know the Leafs have had injuries but man, Marner Matthews Tavares Barrie and Reilly could have been the best PP in the League lol

I'd say that was the cake pan not the batter.

Makar gets the 5v5 AND PP opportunities. He is not a better player - he’s in a better situation.

Show your work....

Hughes has seen about 15 more ES minutes with petey as he has with Bo according to natural stattrick. 115 min to 100 for context.

With Bo 33%
With Petey 38%

Horvat has also played a bit more than Petey has so far at ES @ 15 min.

Is he? He's boring. Someone under the age of 50 would be much better.

Just get rid of it all together (coaches corner). It was named after Cherry, the coach of the year. They already have a good discussion in the intermission with the round table, just expand on that with some fresh young minds.

Ron doesn't provide much input. He just runs the panel and keeps things moving alone. Change the talking heads before changing the host if you want more fireworks.

I'm not talking just coaches corner. More the other stuff Ron does. CC is dead in my opinion.

Thanks for the source - I’ve been going off eye test frustration, watching Hughes play with too many Canucks who don’t understand his game enough to positionally provide outlets during his improvisational adventures. Makar/MacKinnon have had a bunch more time together than Pettersson/Hughes...

Chemistry/compatibility is massive IMO. I just want more of that and less of this useless experimentation. People aren’t paying $1000+ for a night out to watch TG try & figure out how skillsets mesh.

I like him, although his message was tired and old, the old guy stood up for our country, to a fault. He reminds me of Burgess Meredith in 'grumpy old men", he just said whatever's on his mind, damn the consequences.

Yeah, pretty much this. Ron has no integral part to play anymore, I'd prefer they shake it up a bit, but keep Freidman and Hrudey, those guys are good

I heard the same thing second-hand from Kerfoot too. He's trying to make the most of it now that he's locked in for 4 years but it wasn't the rosy situation he expected

I think they'll waste the opportunity. More round tables, talking heads, etc means more people checking twitter for the Cole's notes version after they've gone to get more beer and snacks.

I hope they take some of the new data and technology the league is collecting and do something fun with it. Not sure what the answer is, but intermission productions have been brutal for far too long
