Oh ya. I criticized Dion. During the shortened season. Guys went mental. It was all Reimer's fault. Then the next year they all realized how poop Phaneuf was. I just don't get the trust they have in Leafs management. It's usually garbage.

Yup!

Ultimately this falls on Shanny. He has the choice between a former player, head scout, from a family with huge clout in hockey responsible for several key draft choices. An old timey seasoned vet former college player with rings who would never sit back and allow these kids to party all night before games. Or a young analytic kid who never played a lick and who got his job in the Soo because of Grandaddy.

Right there the writing was on the wall. He went off the board totally illogical, was it just to be different?

I invite you Leaf fans to stick around and watch a hard working, somewhat gritty Canucks team play tonight.

Loving having a good late game to watch. Nucks are a fun team

nice dodge.... Burke should have been curtailed early.

but you conveniently ignore that fact that Dubas walked into a beautiful situation... completey different than the shyte show Burke inherited.

looking at it another way - in just 18 months Dubas has rid the team of any grit at all, replacing it with a set of players who are virtually identical except for varing degress of talent, small, quick, skilled.

great - the defense is decimated, the back up goaltending situation is a gong show and its all good 'cause the underlying numbers are good.

dude - they are out of a playoff sport, special teams are a farce - and you have zero CAP space to address it.

that's what Dubas has achieved in 18 months.

We can and we will.

Dumbass fire Babcock yet?

It’s a fücking shame..

I didn’t even watch the game, I had to go to TO..

It’s hard because not only do I refuse to cheer for a loser anymore (I’ve paid my dues), but I HATE they way this team plays. It’s horseshït. It’s not the way the Leafs have always played.

Dubas is dumbass.

- Arctic_AARDVARK

Totally agreed. This team is off-putting. In total I've watched maybe a full game - all season. Whenever I put the game, I'm done after about 5 minutes.

Luckily it will be all Babcock’s fault.

I'm going to entertain the Dubas haters on here to kill some time before workout...

Who replaces him? What's the new GM's first, 2nd, and 3rd moves?

Just trade for Dougie Hamilton already, should have been done last year if the rumors were true. Probably not available now is my guess

Edit: and keep Dubas

Who knows?

But I'd imagine it would involve the following moves:

1) fixing Kyle's (frank) ups
2) fixing Kyle's (frank) ups
3) fixing Kyle's (frank) ups

And a bonus two:

4) fixing Kyle's (frank) ups
5? fixing Kyle's (frank) ups

For sure. In the same manner i think Trump should go, but I'm not sure who the next President should be

Garnie - you're better than this.

Are you implying there are no GMs out there and even if there were, what moves could they possibly make that Kyle hasn't already? Because that's how it comes across

Mark hunter...lol. need a vet gm. Not sure who is out there

The team is disjointed. Locker room is probably a mess. Seems like babcock should know who the problem is ...likely barrie.

1)Barrie to dallas for khodublin+.
2) take the A away from marner.
3) spezza to the marlies.

I would love Dougie Hamilton.

Concur: 1.25 years on the job is not enough time. The sub-par jobs he's done with contract negotiations are not what ails this current lineup.

Yes, a mill or two would be nice for wiggle room, but players get paid in Toronto, so I don't expect discounts for the richest team in the league.

Just so many puzzling moves. Give the kids whatever money they want, let them sit out part of the season, or Marner and Matthews share an A, let them do what they want.

The kids don't respect Dubas, they walk all over him. Matthews wouldn't even tell the management about his indiscretions.

Say what you wany about Lou, but he would've (frank)ed someone up by now
