So you've edited your post to basically say in (many) more words that you don't know.

Cool.

So glad you're here and contributing.

- gravyface

You think the Fire Babcock crew contribute anything? The Dubas crew get so pissy because they couldn't see any of this coming. There are posters on this thread who saw something coming (maybe not as drastic). They get hounded by the regulars as "so called fans", laughy emoji's, called idiots, called all sorts of poop.

Well those idiots saw it coming and had some valid opinions. The rest of us calling them names and such were in fact totally wrong. Now it's too late. We all have to act pissy and be a complete moron to anyone who doesn't blame Babcock.

Well (frank)ing awesome Garnie. Glad we're at this point.

Mark hunter...lol. need a vet gm. Not sure who is out there

The team is disjointed. Locker room is probably a mess. Seems like babcock should know who the problem is ...likely barrie.

1)Barrie to dallas for khodublin+.
2) take the A away from marner.
3) spezza to the marlies.

- Tumbleweed

But what's a "vet GM" going to do differently?

Is the locker room Dubas' fault? And Barrie, who's been asked to play completely differently than what made him a successful player, he's the problem and needs to go to fix this team?

I'm going to entertain the Dubas haters on here to kill some time before workout...

Who replaces him? What's the new GM's first, 2nd, and 3rd moves?

- gravyface

I’m not a hater, but I’m sick of this soft losing team. I’d say Dave Poulin. 1st move- Barrie. Second move Ceci. Third move Backup.

This is my least favourite Leafs team in my 40 years of watching them. Soft, self centred, losers.

One of:
- Doug Wilson
- David Poile

(2 best GMs currently working in NHL).

1st move:
- sit down with your coach, and ask what he needs to succeed in the playoffs.

2nd move:
- trade Johnsson for a good backup (/fringe starting) NHL goalie

3rd move:
- trade Nylander for a youngish top4 RHD or a LW for Matthews' line

Agreed. The players can't even give a (frank) for a guy's first career NHL game. Hung him out to dry in front of his wife, kid and parents.

For one game they've could've completely ignored Babcock and played the way they can all play (apparently).

Tavares, your captain rocked by Weber = nothing
Rielly elbowed by Backstrom = nothing
Matthews rocked by Dillon (i think) = nothing
Kerfoot rocked by Carter = nothing

I'd say in all seriousness:

Mike Futa
1) Back up goalie
2) Barrie
3) Salary Cap

Yeah that whole comment annoyed me. Can't remember the full details, but didn't he say something like Cody is an exercise of conventional scouting vs advanced metrics?

I think if Babcock is fired, Hakstol might get the rest of the season. Dubas loves Keefe, so can't imagine he'd put him into this situtation.

If all goes to plan, he'd probably prefer Keefe to start with a clean slate in the off-season (only imo)

Yes.

He overpaid players and should never allowed the child Marner to have an A.

For sure. In the same manner i think Trump should go, but I'm not sure who the next President should be

Garnie - you're better than this.

Are you implying there are no GMs out there and even if there were, what moves could they possibly make that Kyle hasn't already? Because that's how it comes across

the Dubas haters don't hate Dubas... we hate you blind "boomer disparaging" diaper wearing flakes because - despite your belief that you are genetically and morally superior - you can't see, or more aptly put - won't allow yourelf to see the flaws in the boy wonder.

has Dubas done some good things - yes he has.

has Babcock done some good things - yes he has

has Babcock done some things that are poor choices or questionable - absolutely.

has Dubas done some things that are absolute garbage - for sure - but we'll just ignore those "because the underlying numbers are good".

well... the overarching numbers are 11.6 x 5, 10.8 x 6 and 6.9 x 6....

three major contract negotiations and Dubas lost each one of them - in spectacular ways.

in 18-20 months he has achieved the following;
1) rid the roster(I won't say team - 'cause right now they aren't one) of any and all grit

2) overpaid three young players by about a total of 5M strapped the CAP for forseeable 3-4 years

3) has one defenseman signed past the end of this coming season - and he didn't sign that deal - which wouldn't be as much of an issue if he had ANY CAP space

4) dealt away 2 first round picks

5) completely messed up the back-up goaltending situation

6)oh...and almost forgot- I'm a boomer therefore old and forgetful ..... he arrived and pretty much pronounced that "we will get our 3 guys signed"...then didn't bother trying to the first one until end of November - by his own commentary - thereby strapping the team against the CAP for that season setting the tone for losing the subsequent negotiations.... I bet he got a 2nd place ribbon for that one.

that's quite a resume for such a short period of time.

Funny if dubas didn’t move Kadri, the team would have been better. But then he would have to actually negotiate with AM and MM, so way out of the script I guess. How dare a GM negotiate a team friendly deal ever in Toronto eh?

I used to think Dubas was AA light. My sincere apologies to AA. Dubas is more akin to Ross Atkins. Actually, I take it back. Ross actually try to keep powder dry. Dubas no. You want a max deal Mitch? How about a super max deal? I will trade any player with salary over $4M just to accommodate you.

Only Dubas will screw up the rebuilding that looked so good just 2 years ago. This kind of talent is rare to find.

actually boring to watch... no intensity of any kind... the PP is so facked right now they don't even look interested going over the boards....

but man - those zone entries make it all worth while...

I'm always left guessing is it going to be two or three steps over the blueline before they buttonhook

that last piece is the funniest and saddest at the same time....

all the flakes want to give Dubas credit for assembling the roster - the key pieces were someone else
