Bill Ny- 8 goals 9 assists 15.4 shooting %

Roope Hintz- 9 goals 2 assists 27.3 shooting %

Which of the twos shooting % seems more sustainable?

Figured I'd post this since it's been a while since Max did.

Sandin hurt. Won't return to the game.

(frank)ing hell. Even the Marlies are decimated with injuries.

Can one or both of Draisaitl and McDavid get 150 points?

They can win in the playoffs. They had a 3-2 lead against Boston.

Ceci and Marner. 2 major mistakes this off season.

And Dubas’ conviction against the conventional wisdom, ie you just need skill and no grits.

- gamerdoc

Signing your highest points player the past 2 seasons. Not stupid. Ill admit it was for too much.
Ceci is 1 year.
Then we clear 4.5m
Good move

Tim and sid showed the issue the best. That cizrnkis (bad spelling yes) dude (frank)ed around with the puck on a penalty kill all by himself and nobody could get it from him. Is crazy really. Our skill is losing out to hard work.

Isn’t Kane way better than Marner though? A proven winner, can drive a line on his own unlike Marner etc. Marner has his age going for him but that’s it at this point? He just overvalued by about $3M.

I mean if a team is going for it right now, who would they want? Kane or Marner?

- gamerdoc

He's paid too much, no doubt, but He has Kane potential for sure and ew already see JT scores less without Marner. It just makes sense to keep him and the top line intact and move out Nylander as he is quite expensive for such a one dimensional player. The tough part is who would give up a decent homer d man for him. But that is who I would be shopping right now.

could be just the tonic the Leafs need.. when Dubas fires Babcock, and the Leafs don't improve Dubie will have to decide whether he's going all in to make the playoffs or tank....

a goalie like that could do wonders to drive the GA up and morale down.

Oh (frank) off with that nonsense. This team has lots of skill, and a lot of the pieces needed to do well in the regular season and to make the playoffs. If we only had a competant backup who could play at .500 we'd have a few more wins.

One thing Dubas did wrong imo was extending Ceci a qualifying offer. that cap space could have meant the ability to get a backup we wanted instead of what we could afford. Other than that he held the pieces together and produced a decent roster. He got a good return for Kadri and while Barrie's been a major dissapointment because he's not defensively-minded I like Kerfoot's game. Hell this team was bound to run into injury problems eventually as they've been pretty lucky the last few years.

Babcock I think made a major mistake last weekend. I figured it would have made more sense to play Hutchinson against PHI and rest Andersen for the extra day and play him against CHI but that's really just speculation.

Bbacock will be gone soon if this keeps up and Keefe will get his shot. it was only a matter of time as Babcock is clearly an overrated coach. He won in DET because he had the best defenceman in the game at the time and the two best all-around centremen- who were Selke winners - at his disposal.

- AngryWhiteMale

Last I checked our starter was 31st in sv%

But, yeah, its the backup that's the problem.

The problem is fundamental. There is a complete loser's don't give a poop mentality around this team.

The Leafs are the anti-Raptors.

Tanking will only work if there is someone they could move for a first rounder, and it would have to e a good one - bad team. What bad team is taking any Leaf for their first rounder?

Was sitting beside Dreger today at lunch (My friend at TSN knows him). I told him before I left that I was going to tell everyone Dreger said they should fire Babcock.

Jeez. Didn't even notice. If they were to trade Marner who replaces him? If Marner gets a good d, who fills in on the wing?

I didn't see it. They were talking about it for a second on the broadcast.

Liljegren is out because of a dirty hit, though.
