Marner would fetch a superior return in a trade than Nylander to be sure. The issue is Nylander is so one dimensional. He literally does nothing if he doesn't get points. In other words, without scoring he has negative value. He has shown short glimpses here and there of a guy who can give more but mostly he just foals around, avoids hits, and scores here and there. Far easier to replace that than Marner.
