What has Lou done to improve the D corps in Long Island? Barry Trotz is the reason the Isles team D has been excellent. Proof? How about how the Isles D performed the year before Trotz landed? - mjones242
Trotz has done a ton of course but both Pulock and Pelech’s growth as defenseman has a lot to do with it. Toews wasn’t playing and he has been excellent.
Our top player need top minute. He just played Zack Hyman more in a game in hi first game in 7 months following major knee surgery than a healthy 22 year-old on pace for 60 goal, 110 points...
He' an idiot - RogerRoeper
For the love of God, man!
Go back to the start and read this entire board objectively.
You aren't much more than a fan boy hippocrate.
Have you ever had an orginal thought all by yourself, or do you just regurgitate the nonsense that the Toronto media pushes on everyone?
Seriously, man. Stop looking stupid.
I'm genuinely embarrassed for you.

I was saying this long before any media did a year ago...
Many in the media are defending Babcock and say he should stay FYI
everyone is killing Toronto for not having grit. when they had Martin , they scratched him most games. Why bother having grit? I blame Babcock. Not that I want Toronto to win. I'm afraid they will change coaches and turn it around. That would suck for all of us Leafs haters.

It's true, Babcock decided not to play Martin. He also decided not to ever play Leivo.
Babcock is a disaster
Commodore played a whopping 17 games under Babs. He was a mediocre D when he played and he's an even worse troll now that he's outside the game. - mjones242
He also played under Babcock in Anaheim. Sure he was nothing more than a bottom pair d-man, but does that make his opinion less valuable? Most of the hockey world thinks Babcock is a genius, but I don't, and found it refreshing to hear a player brave enough to say it. Valterri Filppula left Detroit and most feel it was to get away from Babcock, although he was careful not to say that. Same with Jiri Hudler. Meanwhile guys like Cleary, Abdelkader, Howard made millions of dollars more than they should have simply for being in his good books.
I hate the idea Lou would be so much better in contracts. He's been horriblel for years with contracts. The islanders right now easily have a worse cap situation than the Leafs.
While Lou may have saved $ on the big names, he would have signed a 4th line for 13 million with contracts you can't trade while doing so. Dubas would have been destroyed giving a washed-up 33 year-old 4 years at 3 million per on the 4th line (Komorov). - RogerRoeper
There's 2 years left on that deal and a 3 per it's not exactly stopping them from doing anything

Also, who hired Trotz? 🤔 - Cptmjl
This makes too much sense for them to compute Cptmjl
Not sure who is to blame more for this train wreck, Babs or Dumbass. Leafs always find a way to blow it. All that talent, but they can’t play the game.

Hey fellas, what's a site that shows historical line combos/pairings? Left Wing Lock is ok for this season for fantasy stuff, but I swear there's one out there that has all the historical data too.
Good to know the type of topics Dubas ponders while sipping on his low-fat soy lattes. Also, why does diversity of thought, which is very important, have anything to with diversity defined by race, gender, religion,etc...Two different white males can have very different views on the topic at hand (ie managing a hockey team). Prediction...watch for Haley Wickenheiser to one day get hired by Dubas. Diversity!

She's currently the Assistant of player Development for the TML.
You're good fun and all, but keep up, bud.
Edit: If that was sarcasm, please disregard my comment.
Leafs offense amazing
Goaltending is "good enough"
Defense was and is horrific at defense...and was replaced with equally horrific defenders...That's on Dubas.
it's not that Ceci makes a lot mistakes it's the type he makes...he's the one responsible for the brutal give away that causes the goal....or the un-covered man that scores. It was HIS man.
They need DEFENDERS. People who know angles. Who don't lose people in their own zone.
On offense there is something to the theory that their high talent forwards only play perimeter offense. The Bruins game the other night. Boston let Nylander and Kapanen skate around and around the outside until one of them lost it - and they'd counter attack
