The Flyers need to break up the Lindblom/Couturier/Konecny line in my opinion. Can't play Giroux with Twarynski. - MJL
Definitely can play G with Twarynski. G is a player that makes everyone around him better. Playing Hayes with Twarynski is going to get Hayes going or producing at all. I dont believe he has a single point since he was moved down from line 2. |

Its going to be impossible to move big term and money players like Jake and jvr to teams looking for playoff rentals. It’s going to have be albatross for albatross like Jamie Benn or a seabrook - Just5
I think JVR can be dealt. His cap hit isn't bad for what numbers he's capable of and the term isn't super long.
I would really try to get Seattle to take Jake. |

Don’t want to hear about fatigue or any other excuse, blowing a 3 goal lead with 13 minutes to go in a game is unacceptable, period.
Some observations:
Stewart is not an NHL player any more, he simply cannot keep up with the pace of play. Waive him and find a better option for his roster spot.
Get Myers back in for Hagg asap. I prefer the occasional mistake over consistent mediocrity
Get Frost up here now and get Giroux back on the wing where he belongs
Hayes is obviously pressing, but nevertheless he needs to be better. The same goes for Voracek.
JVR needs to bury his chances. Unlike say Hayes, who can contribute to the team in multiple ways, if JVR isn’t scoring, he’s pretty much useless out there.
I never thought I’d be missing Laughton, but right now I’m missing Laughton.
Elliott had an up and down game, but he’s a solid backup. The key word though is backup. Other than the back to backs, he needs to be on the bench.
Finally, FFS, get G and Jake back on their off sides on the pp. - BiggE
Do you honestly think it's a good idea or that the Flyers are going to call up Frost and play him at center in the NHL when all reports coming on him in the AHL is that is game is very inconsistent from shift to shift? He's not playing at a consistent pace from shift to shift.
Laughton was a solid player last year for the Flyers who contributed around 30 ES points for the team. No idea why anyone thinks he wouldn't be missed.
I agree on Stewart but he is nowhere near the top of the list of where the Flyers need to improve.
I disagree that Elliott should only play in back to back games. He has been solid overall this season. Can't over play Hart. |

You "can" play anyone with anyone. This season, Giroux is not making anyone better. He can't make himself better right now. Twarynski is a 4th line player. |

Benn is really, really, really struggling this season and had a rough first half of last season before he eventually came around. Beware of power forwards in their 30s (even early 30s). - bmeltzer
I would hate for us to trade our veteran underperforming top line winger for another team's underperforming veteran. Both in their 30s with large contracts. |

Giroux, Jake, JVR and Hayes aren't scoring.
NoPa might not play again.
Stewart is a problem! |

That is true. Could only hope that a change of scenery would be good for both guys. I did watch a bit of Benn’s Game yesterday and thought he looked pretty good....from the sounds of things those performances have been few and far between.

I don’t mind Stewart as the 13th forward....I wish he was their biggest issue or even in the top 10.

These types of weekends, 1 point out of possible 4 and 3 points was a realistic opportunity, are on the leadership group. Subpar performance against the Sens. Up 3 goals at home late in 3rd. You have to lock it down. Someone has to step up. AV shortened bench in Ott cause he knew that was their best chance for a W. Never should have been playing from behind.
We've seen these types of missed opportunities for the past several years. G, Jake, Coots, Ghost are the core leadership group. You don't have to be Nancy Drew to figure it out.
I'm open to options. - cdearth23
I’m sorry but Ghost is not a core part of the leadership group lol |

The Eagles game could get ugly..
Lots of weapons on the offense are out for the Eagle.

I also like they are keeping the NE defense on the field for a long drive. If they can keep that up, it could be telling later in the game |

Belichick huddled up his defense. Not a good sign.
agoholor blows so hard. No awareness in the back of the end zone |
