The Isles are on a 14 game point streak, picking up 27 out or 28 possible points. They are second in the league even though they've played fewer games. They are having an amazing run - and you guys are taking about JT.

Let it go and enjoy what's happening right now!

I get what Jimmy is saying but it’s tough when many Leafs fans were trolling Isles fans and planning the parade after the signing.

I mean I still talk about Dale Hunter, and Darcy Tucker. If someone would have told me the isles would have gotten 27 out of 28 pts sans Tavares I woulda said no way. Its not about getting over it......its basking in the glory that the "franchise player" left at the 23rd hour to hop on a "winning team", and it totally backfired.

I get it. I hope that guy never lifts the cup, but c'mon. 27 out of 28 points in the last 14 games!? That's freakin' amazing! Plus last nights' come back win! We should be talking about how amazing it is to watch a team that wins after years of watching horrible teams and even more horrible management.

We already did that there’s plenty of time to make fun of the Leafs and their fans as well.

The comeback late in the third was the most impressive thing thus far this season. Its what separates 8th seeds from home ice advantage.

You cannot be a GM just looking at spreadsheets or thinking it”s computer hockey. You can have a few stars but they cannot play 60 minutes. How many times do you have to lose to Boston before you understand something has to change

I totally agree. They lost to a Crosbyless Pens team. 40 million dollar PP and they can’t score. All you had to see was their best player get rocked a week and a half ago and nobody did a thing.

Hockey can change rules but winning a Cup is the toughest championship in sports to win. Your top players and players in your top 6 cannot be soft and cannot be unwilling to pay a price and playing good defense is key. You cannot just add JT. Offense was never an issue.

Dubas had a plan in his head and executed it. It didn’t work. They need a little sandpaper on that team that much is obvious but Babcock has to get more out of them defensively. He most likely won’t get the chance...

Like you said before, you cant build a team off of stats and numbers. There's not a stat for heart...

The "we don't need you" chant is phucking priceless. Who woulda thought 91 was part of the problem, not the solution. Go figure...

Maybe it's time for a change in coach but players also have to want to commit to playing tougher and playing defense. We have seen over the years with JT that he wanted no part of either. Nylander certainly does not show any interest. I put most of the blame on Shanny and Dubas and Shanny seems to be above taking heat for some reason?

He's a goner if you ask me. I think he's lost the room. I don't think Babcock see's Christmas. Sheldon Keefe will be bringing in the new year as Leafs head coach.

I love the chant and I posted many times JT is no leader and has not interest in playing D. We saw this with Cappy and Doug and it does not appear to have changed with Babcock. JT brings plenty of offense and very little in terms of intangibles.

The truth is, (and its not because of my feelings of his character) he can't skate well. He's about as good as anyone below the hashmarks, but his skating is really weak. Sure its better than his first year in the league when he was skating on quicksand. But, its a speed game now and he's just not an end to end guy.

I give JT credit for working on his skating but he will never be a great skater and it will only be more of an issue as JT gets older. To me, the JT signing makes much more sense if you do not have Matthews and the other offensive pieces. It's a luxury item and not a necessity and I hurts it terms of adding other much more needed pieces.

Good riddance......the isles somehow are better without him. Its amazing how many years we as fans were slighted with minor league coaches and just flat out inexperience cheap fixes. Amazing what professionals can do with a team with arguably less talent.

No question talent is important and gladly take another big offensive player with Barzal. Talent alone will not do it. Plenty of talented teams never win it all because they are not willing or able to make the needed changes.
