Drouin's surgery is today (wrist)
Byron is getting surgery for a knee tomorrow
Both will miss weeks if not months - stinger67
they'll be back just in time to help the team lock a playoff spot
trying to be optimistic here, Drouin was playing really well, I hate Ovi's guts right now |

Yeah, looked good, had good possession numbers, took a penalty and got benched in the third..... had some chances, didn't score.
Typical Hudon game. - Scabeh
so in his case, the goals, are they coming? |

Not at all, I'm all for for immigration if it wins medals. By the way has a algerian ever won a medal for us? Sucks that driving taxis isn't an olympic discipline |

Two veterans are out for weeks. Really hope MB does something to at least fill one hole.
I don’t think a Weal or Hudon are either caliber of those two even if Byron has a bad year.
But I’m scare MB will just wait and see like always 😭😭 |

You do realize Bergevin has been one of the most active GM since he's been hired by the Habs?
He did plenty of trades or picked up players on waivers and most of them turned out pretty god damn well. |

He does big trades at summer. The only one during season was Petry before deadline.
Yes he’s one of the most active, but I don’t remember him trading after losing players to injuries.
We also haven’t done playoff in 3 of the 4 years and since we are doing well this year, we need to fixe it fast before we fall back. Tampa / Buffalo are pretty close still.
So yes, that’s why I say he will probably wait and see how it goes, which scares me

they have half a dozen guys in Laval who could be called up. I don't expect him to trade for anyone. |

None of them can replace Drouin or Byron (well maybe this year). Maybe try Belzile but I don’t see anyone else replacing Drouin lost which could hurt if Domi/Armia doesn’t wake up |

yup, and besides, a lot of teams currently have injuries to key players, so it's not like the habs were alone in this situation |

and none of them could get you a player able to replace Drouin in a trade.
