While I agree he overpaid on those contracts, I disagree with unwilling to make bold moves. The Colorado and Ottawa trades say differently. Maybe he’s needs to do another one is what you mean? In that case, I agree. Kappy or Johnson or Barrie to mix it up.

Well, Babcock sure isn’t (frank)ing doing anything right. He’s been consistently disliked everywhere he goes by players. He doesn’t adapt. Keefe is the best internal option and probably the best overall when you look at who’s out there.

It’s not just the players or Dubas’ fault. It’s everyone’s. Players can be coached differently, that’s the first change that needs to happen.

It was bold as in shaking up the middle six of the team. It was needed, yes. But it’s considered a big trade none the less.

There is no coach available right now that is even closely as good as babcock.
There are however several players available via trade that can fix this team.
And definitely better GM options around.
If Keefe becomes Leafs next coach bc Dubas wins - we'll lose the best part of the window to win one or more stanley cups with the core of tavares, marner, rielly, matthews, hyman.

How many new guys are there...? He's not done. Somewhere he has underlying stats on a physical game changer in the Wilson type category. He's just waiting for the right moment (as soon as Babcock is fired and Keefe says - we need a guy like this).

Dubas is in a tough spot with the Cap / Contracts and needing a steady D all converging at the same time.
