I've been on teams like that, where the goalie has to stand on his head or the team would never win. My ball hockey goalie about a decade ago was incredible. We were 8-0-2 and we sucked.

I’d rather the Leafs wait until the offseason to name Keefe coach. Just tank this year, trade UFAs, get a top-10 pick. Revamp the D in the summer.

Is this fair? I really don't know Andersonn too much. I think he is a but more valuable than Kap but both Frolik and Barrie are good players who need a change.

Good lord, no. If you can't do better than that for Barrie just keep him. That's awful.

Wow the amount of blame that everyone seems to have on one guy. Dubas will always have his hand in negotiations of contracts but reality is they would have been paid that by other teams. His big mistakes were agreeing on Nylander for just under 7 mill just to get him last year, if he waited out the year he probably could have gotten Nylander for just over 6 and in a cap world that savings is huge. With Matthews, that was always going to the be contract but again Dubas probably could have gotten an extra year on term. The problem here is the agents demand these contracts because they know they have good players and need their % of the pay cut. Fault 1.
Fault 2, Babcock and his unwillingness to make his own line changes especially on defense nor bench his so called good players. That and the players have had a penchant to grow tired of him. But he did bring the leafs somewhere fast and that always has to count, but he has a major hand in this.
Fault 3, the players are not playing as a team, 1 line shows up per game and he rest play let's see how fast we can fall behind. This is another issue.

They need to do something fast, and change needs to be done, let's see if change happens.

and at the end of the day I am happy with a young top 4 D over a top 9 scoring winger next year.

I'd rather keep him too but if he demands a trade you won't get full value for him. He is in an important year he can't afford to have a bad fit like this.

Would Leaf fans do Kap for Andersson? Absolutely

Does swapping Barrie for Frolik move the needle? Maybe it is giving up too much but its close.

Frolik isn't a scrub. The last two years he has been a solid 200 foot player.
