Wow the amount of blame that everyone seems to have on one guy. Dubas will always have his hand in negotiations of contracts but reality is they would have been paid that by other teams.

Here is the thing...Nobody else gave contracts like this out to their RFA's... Rantanen and Point were the glod standard for RFA's...Dubas overpaid for his 3 young players.. Signing them at market value would leave an extra $4-5 mil that would have enabled the leafs to get a solid backup and another decent 4-6 dman

Matthews’ cap hit percentage is lower than Malkin’s 5 year 2nd contract, and higher than Stamkos’. Seems right.

I have no problem with Nylander’s cap hit. The problem is Dubas could’ve gotten Nylander signed for that contract during the summer.
