The team, as a group, are just not that good. If Eichel is not "on" , then the team is in trouble. If Evan Rodrigues is part of our 2 line poweplay, then you know the team is not very good at all.

Why is Eichel the last man back there though?

I rewatched it. Joker got turned around for some reason on that bum rush into our zone and scandy took the man coming in (as he's supposed to) which leaves eichel the 2nd man coming in but obviously was facing our net and didnt see dach blowing into the zone on that right side.
