They either don't matter or you read the wrong "reports". - Feanor
I haven't seen Frost play a single game. I only know what has been reported. |

Wow, this is a little knee-jerkish don't you think? Lost 3 games in a row 2 of which were shootouts, still in the hunt clearly and also finally not a start where were digging ourselves a hole, and he's grasping at straws? Imagine if JVR/G/Jakes/Hayes all were contributing the way the Coots line was, we'd be top 5 in the league.
Relax, this team will be fine. - sjk540
it seems like the organization is making an effort to get a lot of the prospects a taste of the NHL level game. Perhaps in a effort to educate them on what they really need to focus on.
Even a game or two is an excellent education.

GM doesnt do anything to try and solve issues on the team ...He sucks..
GM tries things to help solve the issues on the team ... He is grasping at straws.
If only the FLyers would hire one of the GM's from Flyersbuzz then we would have this all figured out.. lulz.. =) - opeth_pa
Gm signs 3rd line center for 7.1M, for 7 years, he is a moron.
Posters on a hockey board defending the signing, and making excuses for the centers play are as delusional as the GM is
Chuckles is grasping at straws. He really can't do much else, the team has no cap space, Frost is the last "top end" prospect. I find it hard to beleive he has shown enough growth over 16 games in the AHL that merits a call up |

There's things about his game I really like. It just doesn't equate to 7 million dollars. I agree he probably deserves stronger linemates. He can't carry a line by himself. - Pelle31Forever
That is why it was asinine to go 7x7.14M
He is actually making 9M this season. 2nd highest paid Flyers |

Regardless of the fact that this is a call-up based on circumstances, I am glad to have something change and someone new to be cheerfully rooting for...go Frosty!

Who on this hockey board has been defending Hayes?

Right now the criticism should fall on Hayes, not Fletcher. |

Dave Isaac literally just put out a piece titled "Morgan Frost isn't NHL ready yet". A day later, Frost gets called up. He's gotta be feeling silly.

Sillier than Quenville being hired for the flyers?

The Flyers are struggling to get offense from anywhere other than the Couturier line. I don't have a problem with them taking a chance on Frost providing a spark. |

again, have you watched the games? Matt Niskanen has been one of the bright spots in terms of our veterans so far this year. That trade i would do 100/100 times. - sjk540
There was so much talk at the time of the deal that he was done. He is definitely not done. |

I like the way Fletch is willing to call up and send down players. I do think with how they played recently they want the most talented player up, that is Frost. Frost had a chance to play against men, adjust to a faster game and now has a shot.
The players that were sent back down, have had a taste of the NHL, like Myers, they need to go back and use the experience and out grow the AHL.
Now as the season moves on, we need to see less trial and error with call ups.
Look at the scores everyday, teams are winning who shouldn't and team are losing who shouldn't, parody and the NHL. - wcorvette
Fletcher told us this was going to happen prior to the season. He said a lot of bodies would be moved between the NHL and AHL. |

This approach does not match the way that Flyersbuzz GM's would do it, please don't try and explain it.
Again, only in Flyersbuzz land would Frost be getting called up be viewed as a bad thing by some.

I actually feel bad for Fletcher. The corporate overlords are obviously hovering over his shoulder, sweating bullets that the Flyers brand is not maximizing its value.

Imagining this as a comic illustration is hilarious to me. Poor Fletcher!

definitely not done, and i think he will continue to help Provy in terms of showing him how a top pairing defender plays, on both sides of the ice |

Paying $25 to watch the game on a TV in front of a couch at the stadium. What a steal. |

It will not happen this soon but I would love to see Frost center TK and Lindblom. Coots would go back to centering G and Farabee. JvR, Hayes, and Jake on 3rd. |

The Flyers had no issue keeping Konecny as a small player right out of juniors. The knock on Frost has been consistency in pace of play. |

well, its about time fletch heard me. i would start frosty out as 3rd line winger. let him get a handful of games under his belt with less 2 way responsibility. 3rd line is hayes centering frosty and jake. coots 1c and g 2c. until patrick returns and then g gets back to wing. laughton 4c when he returns. as for sitting players, sit braun or ghost and reinsert myers into lineup. i didnt see the reason for demotion. but they cant bc they spent soo much for braun. thats bs. my hope for frost is that he elevates his game in order to stay up in philly. we will see as i dont think he will hurt us. |

Sit Haag, not Braun or Gostisbehere. Has anyone noticed in the last handful of games of how Gostisbehere's ice time is rising. Including leading all defenseman in ice time in a recent game. Any idea why? |

Question, is the D better this year than last? Answer, Yes! Niskanen ain't Pronger but who is. And who else was available for what the Flyers were willing to give up. BTW the biggest improvement is on the PK. They just need to figure out how to close games and that comes with maturity...hang on its gonna be a bumpy ride |
