Pretty sure every generation has said this about themselves at some point.

hahah, truth, but it really only applies to ours at this point if we use hindsight and history as our proof.

Even on a bridge deal the number that kept coming up in the media was around 10 mil per.

He Richarded the (frank) out of the leafs, plain and simple. Which at the end of the day, if he is genuine about never wanting to play anywhere else, I think he inserted a bullet into his own foot just to make sure he could go from filthy rich to moderately filthy richer.

- joel878

I agree.

A 10 million bridge deal would have been so insane and I honestly didn't see one less than Nylander's anyway.

the biggest trends to deal with is getting the young kids to stop doing what their parents did. I would have to listen to people i work with in Alberta in the 90s and 00's talk about the fact they do blind voting... they voted what their parents always have, because well thats the things to do. They voted conservative.. and voted to basically tank their province. Now look, everyone in Alberta is blaming everyone else but themselves... (frank)ing idiots.

Here in Quebec, young people would vote block or PQ because of the same stupid reasons... now look we got another (frank)ing block in power. As much as their leader is bright, and he is, he is a very smart man, his party is still passer. People are just to lazy or scared to be themselves and do whats right. Talking against preset narratives or following preset paths are why we have a world the way it is today.

Quebec can do stupid poop like that and get away with it though because Alberta pays their bills. 😉

Not to mention the millions Marner takes annually on endorsements, compared to the guys who don't have that income and what they took on their bridge deals.

His representation knew they had the team over a barrel, Marner had to be signed an on the ice prior to the season starting thanks to the Willie mess. Marner was happy to put on the brakes once his representation had gotten the team to the cleaners, and sign on the line before they went in.

Not very becoming of a hometown guy who allegedly wants to bleed blue and white throughout the duration of his career.

personally there is ignorance on both ends. boomer and millennial

Snowflake is one of the most ridiculous insults or way to describe a person.

* btw snowflakes are unique and never the same, so to be called one is a term of endearment for me.

Boomers, well this is a blanket statement of stupidity too. Boomers helped pave alot off the ways we have today to express ourselves freely. The poop my dad and mom protested for in the 60s and 70s we take for granted today. They can say that.

*not all boomers are like that as well.

So where does that leave us?

Got old people on the defensive because they are slow to change, and you have young folks that are to spoiled to see how things come to be and that sometimes hard work is needed in order to achieve said goals.

What does that leave us with? a bunch of time wasted listening to 2 short sighted groups of people bicker with lame name calling.

Old people ruined the world, young people get over it and start planning your mad max esq type gang.

Edit: us the babes born between 75 and 83 are the greatest generation anyways. (frank) the rest.

Plus if you get enough snowflakes together, you can cause some real damage

haha come on. lets not go there. Quebec funded the growth of Alberta with money and labor for decades...Quebec, before separatism was one of the biggest economic super powers in NA. Was the center for economic trade in NA from the end of 1800s to the 1960s. But all the power was held by 2% of the population (anglos), so the french voted in a separatist and the rest is history. Toronto can thanks the separatists for their growth and notoriety today. Lastly, we dont need to exacerbate terrible divisive narratives
