Oh good, a guy from Philly telling fans of other cities how they should act. - Atomic Wedgie
Yep. We're up front with our bumholeishness.
And I didn't tell you how to act, I told you how you overvalue players that you claim suck.
"Man, we need to get rid of Nylander, he's soft and doesn't care. How about McDavid and 2 1sts, probably an overpayment by Leafs, but pretty fair." |

Does anybody really think Marner would have made a difference in the 4 games he's been out? - bobbyisno1
Some goals would have been nice. |

According to the average TML fan, all of their players suck, but should bring a massive haul back in trade. - jmatchett383
They only suck as a group, seperate them and the sky is the limit.
I think every Gm in the league knows that they're not playing to their potential. |

I recall Marner for Tkachuk trade suggestions, not Nylander in a 1 for 1 trade - PatC80
same here, both were unsigned at the time. I can see people saying marner was worth more than MT

Well, the Leafs' problem the last few games is that they are all unwilling to play physical and give two poops.
So no, Marner isn't going to cure that.
I'm baffled by people who think that firing Babs is the answer.
You really think that getting rid of a taskmaster is going to make this team play better?
Why not have no coach at all, and just let them play shinny?
Unless your next sentence is "Hire Torts!", I don't understand why anyone would say "Fire Babcock!" - Atomic Wedgie

babcock took a team that shouldn't have made the playoffs in year 2 and probably year 3 of his contract and not only did; but broke the franchise record for regular season points.
but it's babcock's fault that we are dressing 2 4th lines and have had echl level backup goaltending. - Tumbleweed

And its his fault this soft team cannot play the system properly.

Leafs have injuries... - Steven_Seagull
injuries are a reason for losing only if you don't have the depth to win despite them.
the lack of depth is on the gm. his let's get ~9 guys for league min and max out our star player cap strategy was risky.
it's left them with no flexibility and is not paying off. |

Ok, they don’t. Marner, Kerfoot, and Moore never actually existed. Spezza and Petan were always supposed to play on the 3rd line.

Didn’t Tkchuck have like 80 points last year? If people were saying no, they were doing it from Calgary’s perspective. - Steven_Seagull
I said before last season (so Summer 2018).
And people were saying that Nylander >>>> Tkachuk |

Too me, it's not lack of talent or depth.
It's lack of giving a poop. |

The Leafs also won the lottery and drafted some bum named 'Matthews'. Do you think that has anything to do with the teams success?
I remember when they had Horachek and went full tank. That was the hardest trying team I have ever seen. Each night they kept is close because of the effort but simple had no talent (and Bernier in net). Now what do we see? |

Well Tavares missing games and now Marner, you are not replacing them.
Add in Hyman, Moore and Kerfoot..those are some of your better "gritty" players.
I still dont see how those injures have turned the Leafs into a point shot low danger team...every shift, every game
PP suck and so does the PK. there has to be an element thats not just players |

?
if that was the plan, the dufus should be (frank)ing gone. 2 ahl players shouldn't be on your 3rd line.

nobody expected the leafs to make the playoffs after drafting matthews.
the expectation was the team was 2-3 years away from being a playoff team. |
