haha,
Up to the day he was traded.. 97.9% of habs fans would have never thought the most popular hab outside of Price would get traded. Subban was a part of the fabric of the team, to see him go was a tough pill to swallow.
But when you understand that you cant have a team made up of all offence, and to save on the ruining of an incredible talent in getting subban to play with less risk, the team decided to trade him.
SOME PLAYERS JUST CANT PLAY D. Matthews might just be that guy, and no one should fault him from being a soft back checker. Because the team should have players that step up when hes with out the puck. I wont suggest Matthews will be the piece going, but i dont think Nylander has enough value, especially with that poop contract to bring in the name or names that can fill the glaring holes this team has.
Barrie, he could be swapped befro the deadline for something, but DEF DEF are hard to come by and you need to find a team thats is missing a driver of the PP. - munky123
I think the biggest problem with trading Barrie is that it's nearly impossible to get a better player to replace him considering his very low cap hit. |

I would normally agree, but based on how he has been used and the results, its not going to take much to improve on what he has been so far.
but imo, you package a Kap and Barrie together and get someone 5-6mil

krieder and georgev would be interest from nyr...but i don't know why they'd want barrie.
dallas' pp has kinda sucked. i feel like the fit for barrie could be there. |

Adam Fox or DeAngelo fit the Barrie mold, so I'd agree. You're also not getting Georgiev and Kreider for Barrie and Kapanen. Kreider, if he doesn't plan on resigning, will bring in a pretty big haul at the TDL. |

Agreed.
Except you forgot a third person in the "who's shoulders does the blame lie with "....and its the one who should carry most of the blame.
The players. - Fakepartofme
Agreed. I think you strip this team back and you say who's not living up to their bargain this year (and I don't mean $$$ I mean expectations) and who do you point to ...?
The PP sucks ...who's fault?
The PK sucks ...who's fault?
Injuries ..who's fault?
And which players just aren't playing well enough? |
