I think there might be some here that were not so jazzed about Skinner re-signing.
And I’m less excited about Montour than I was last year. - PrinceChill
Maybe Skinner’s cap hit,
but not actually keeping him |

Skinner trade
Skinner re-signing
MoJo signing
Jokiharju trade
Montour trade
3 good drafts by all accounts
Those are all pretty much unarguable - jdfitz77
10-7-3
After starting 8-1-1, when they caught teams off guard
It is virtually a one man team, well, 4 really, with 3 of them belonging to the previous GM.
He has made some good moves.
He also can't be absolved of the fact this is fully his roster...and it is failing...with the youngins who have infact either stalled in their development, or have regressed.
It ain't working anymore, period. |

Most of the team Botts is putting together isn’t even on the roster yet
Yes, there’s some patchwork that he’s doing to try & be competitive now, without sacrificing his long term goals
This isn’t that difficult to see
The roster this season is a fringe playoff contender,
not a Cup contender
If the hot start caused you to think otherwise,
that’s on you

In Montours defense, how many games has he played? I’ll give him a pass for a few more.
McCabe has been disappointing. - Gr8daygo
McCabe is playing about 8 minutes too much, and he 2 Pairs higher than he should. He should also be paired with a puck mover. It is on the Coach, but Pach has a point in terms of who else is going to play there with Dahlin slumping.

What's hard to see is there games; being very boring, slow, devoid of talent.
That is squarely on him.
I believe it when I see it as far as playoffs go.
That sentiment was also expressed last season, and it was dead ass wrong.
This season, samething... those 1st 10 games count no doubt, but I project them in that 84 range, and that could be a reach if this roster doesn't change.
The hot start was fun...fast, aggressive, passes on-point.
Matched the excitement and fun of watching them last season's 10 games.
What is on Botts is him expressing official opinion that this group of forwards are good enough. That was not only dumb to say, but insulting. He lost alot of support fof me from that. |

Johan Larsson was acquired when we traded pominville. He survived Pominville's entire tenure there, his return to Buffalo, and lasted past his retirement.
Girgensons played with Ehrhoff and Miller.
They've been here for ev er
Why do we hold onto such mediocre talent? |

Babcocks wife pulled chute on Buffalo when she heard Bass Pro bailed on downtown. You know how touchy those Canadian women get aboot their fishing rods.
Worst case Ontario:

I mean unless we can bring Datsyuk, Zetterberg, and Lidstrom out of retirement then we’ll never win a playoff series but at least we’ll get to play an additional week or two of hockey a year. |

The last time the Sabres had a #1d not named Risto, the Red Wings were still in the western conference and the Jets were in the east |

As I read people's thoughts on Mitts, I wonder what makes us think he can be an effective winger? He looks completely useless everytime he's on the ice. Can't finish when he does have an opportunity and doesn't appear to win any puck battles due to his size. I think no matter where you put him it's a hopeless effort at this point. |

To add to the depression of Buffalo sports, I was born in July of 1995. I have not yet lived to see a Bills playoff victory yet.

How bout last year when he fired Housley and said this:
Botterill also shouldered blame, saying he "didn’t put the proper roster on the ice" and didn't give Housley "enough players, enough tools to have success."
And then he did the same thing to Krueger |

Debatable
Like I’ve said...
Botts has tried to use low cost acquisitions in order to boost the depth of this team
Miller, Vesey, Sheary
Obviously, those guys have worked out to varying degrees
I’m totally fine with him not sacrificing the long term goals for immediate results now
And what options did he have to bring in guys that would make a significant difference?
The only legitimate thing i heard ppl say is that he should’ve traded Risto for a forward
Well, it seems pretty clear to me that he just hasn’t been getting good enough offers for him |
