As much as I do not like him on the opposing teams, I would like him on mine.

What I think now may have been the case with ROR is timing. GMJB’s playoff window apparently starts sometime in the mid-to-late 2020s. And he will be at the tail end of his career by then.

If I recall, the purpose of this exercise was to pick who they thought the Sabres would draft, and not should.

Fact remains, Leon Draisaitl is a better hockey player than Sam Reinhart, and it's really not even close. Obviously, though, hindsight is 20/20.

Botterill has multiple trade irons in the fire. The time is appropriate for Botterill to trade a defenseman or two for a top six and a bottom six forward.

Prior to the injury insect biting Buffalo on the ass, Botterill was dealing from a position of strength with his NHL GM peers calling him regularly to try to convince Botterill to trade away a defenseman.
