Wait, are we ranking goalies based on their skills or the team they play for? Highlight reel saves or GAA?
It's easier to tier them into categories: Elite, Very Good, Average, Awful.
Most will be average or very good. The Elites are Flower, Price, Gibson, Vasy. Fight me, or dont, everyone's entitled to an opinion even if you only cheer for one team. |

You have to take into account the team as well. You cant just look at stats, being on a good team or bad team affects a goalies stats. I only looked at starters and a few goalies in split situations. Raanta is a good goalie. The 3 mentioned above are not starters |

Actually I do, their success is mostly to do with Trotz and his defensive system. It is no surprise. My rankings are based on the goalies actual skills not the team they play on. |

I find it quite off that Voynov has been blacklisted so hard, but Semyon Varlamov also beat the crap out of his wife a year or so before that, and like, served a one game suspension, from the Avs (IIRC). Some incident happened in between the two that really brought domestic abuse to the forefront... what could that have been? Oh yeah, Ray Rice. |

Holtby is over-rated. He can be great at times but he often falls apart. Im sorry but .906 SV% on the best team in the NHL. I dont base my opinions fully on stats but come on, he has to be a lot better than that. Bobrovsky is another guy I dropped down because of his inconsistency. |

Greiss is first in Save % and 2nd in GAA the year after he and Lehner won the Jennings trophy. Last year he finished 5th in save % and 4th in GAA. Ya might want to actually start thinking he is a very good goalie.. maybe ? |
