The son of Blackhawks legend Sergei Krivokrasov, Nikita Krivokrasov, was just acquires by the Prince George Cougars and will play with current Blackhawks prospect Cole Moberg.
- DarthKane

Good ole' number 25. The Wings at the time had Sergei Federov. I was excited the Hawks got a Russian too. Only it was Krivokrasov.

The guy drove me crazy. He was so compulsive in adjusting his equipment during game play. Helmet, elbow pads, shoulder pads. Sweet lord just get gear that fits.

I think the Hawks eventually launched him to the Preds.

The real issue is which one is Dinky and which one is Strome?

Those are horrific. Believe I heard DeBrincat was salt and Strome was pepper. So life like.

No its definitely being ignorant.

You never know, especially in hockey when goaltending can dominate a playoff series...sometimes an entire playoff run. Who’s to say we can’t make a run if the current trends continue and we find a way to upgrade at the TDL? You acting like you know for certain what we might ultimately become when it’s only November is ignorance. But call it whatever you want.

You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means.

Light is beer’s worst enemy. Anything in a green or clear bottle is either skunky or will be in a matter of days. Moosehead included. It’s ok on tap, because no light has gotten to it. Still pretty bland in my book though.
- Ogilthorpe2

I like bland...for my beer anyway. Lager, Pils and some Ales. I know IPA's are all the rage but not a fan. Prefer bourbon or rye for something with more heft.

I know what you're saying on green bottles as Heineken fits the bill, though I maintain they ship us their skunked beer and keep the decent stuff for themselves. Heineken in it's homeland is quite good. I like Beck's too as far as green bottles go.

Different tastes, but I don't drink a ton of beer and like something that goes down easy on a hot summer day.

I'm going to the game tonight and thought "Salt Shakers!!! Cool!"

Yikes those are the creepiest things ever. I'm not going to knock anyone down to get one. I suppose they can be comic relief at parties.

Moberg’s had a solid season so far. 12 points in 17 games for the big defenseman.

Fuel for the Maatta discussion, from ‘The Athletic’. Go.

Olli Maatta

One has to wonder whether Stan Bowman would have traded Dominik Kahun to Pittsburgh for Maatta had he known he’d be able to get de Haan from Carolina for a song later in the offseason. Maatta is a viable defenseman and a well-liked player, but he’s signed for two more seasons with a few blue-chip blueliners on the way up. Goaltending has been especially kind to Maatta, who has a positive goal differential (14-13) despite a 41.03 high-danger scoring-chance percentage, the second-worst among Blackhawks defensemen and behind only Gustafsson, his likely long-term partner now that Murphy is back in the lineup.

Patrick Kane turns 31 today. Clearly aging and with the quality of his game declining Stan should move Kane for a couple mid-round picks and a boat-load of cap space. Stan should have dealt Kane 2-3 years ago, but yet again he has poor timing with his trades.

More from TA

Brent Seabrook

At five-on-five, the Blackhawks have outscored opponents 12-7 with Seabrook on the ice. That’s a better goals-for percentage than Kane, Toews, Keith, Murphy and most of the other Blackhawks players, so he’s not exactly the human disaster some want to make him out to be. Take his contract out of the equation and Seabrook has been an adequate third-pairing defenseman, which is all the Blackhawks are asking from him. Being paired with the similarly slow-footed Maatta for the first month didn’t do Seabrook any favors; both have fared better apart. With Maatta, Seabrook had a ghastly 36.18 expected-goals percentage. With de Haan, in nearly the same amount of ice time, he’s at 47.28 percent, and the Blackhawks have outscored opponents 7-1 with the two of them on the ice at five-on-five. Seabrook is never going to be a $6.875 million player again, but when utilized properly, he can still provide useful minutes.

Because Stan was once again asleep at the wheel, it may now cost him Dach and/or Boqvist to make that deal.

Are they truly better defensively? Or is this really a tip of the cap to the goaltending that has been elite so far. They are giving up an absurd amount of shots and if the goaltending or the scoring dry's up, we could have a serious problem.

Overall, good to see this team collect 2 points night in and night out as of late. Don't want to get too high or too low.

There is no wondering IMO. If they knew they would/could land deHaan and Lehner, there would be no Maatta. But until somebody else can take that slot (and there isn't much immediate depth on the left side), he probably isn't going anywhere.

The thing to watch is Mitchell's progress. He said he'd sign, but I assume that happens (health assumed) right after the NCAA season is over and he pencils in for a look in late March/April.

For that reason among others, somebody is going to be exiting IMO no matter where they are in the standings, injuries notwithstanding.
