Ok... I'm going to say it. ZAR has looked really good tonight. |

I really like how this team plays without letang. I know he is good...but the attention to defence seems solid. If kris can come back and play within his limits and stop the unnecessary risk taking we are gonna look insanely tight. |

Strange how Simon looks like a worthless piece of shi t off Sids line, just like he does when he’s on Sids line. |

But he was injured in camp..and played great without simon. - taleisyreXIII
I'm sorry - I wasn't clear there. I misunderstood and meant that when Sid's play dips, it usually ends up that he was playing through some injury. I suspected it when he started his last dry spell. It's weird because he never looks worse, but players can make an injury look like a "bad luck" slump.
I think his injury has been impacting the team for a minute. |

Ok...ya I thought u meant he was hurting more with simon than prior. But, yes u are very correct...sid historically only has dips in play when he isnt 100 percent. He is not a slump player in anyway. |

It's kinda like when you have a hot date... You tend to have more confidence based on who ya with... Simon benefits from Sid for sure... |

So Hornqvist with Sid? I've always a him back with Bjugstad on the 3rd since they were so effective together, but McCann as looked so good I'd like to see him at 3C. Not sure where to put Hornqvist though. - Tojo.
The way Rust is playing, he's my top line RW with Sid. I'd probably have Hornie back with Geno. |

He plays so well with geno tho. |

I'd not take rust and jake both away from geno when sid comes back...that's tough for Malkin. |

Letang is no Talbot...I still have fond memories of that car commercial. |

He's had a couple of good shifts, but overall I'm over him. I'd rather move him and have Rust-Geno-Bjugstad as the 2nd line. |

I think Tanev is about an even player for possession, but he does have an effect on scoring chances. Seems to have better hands than expected to considering he's already at 5 goal and 11 points and wasn't getting hardly any points with Blueger and ZAR.
I wouldn't mind trying it, Sid's line was struggling defensively and Tanev would certainly help there. - Tojo.
I didn’t necessarily mean possession stats as in Corsi I meant tangible possession with zone entries and things like that. |

I don't delve into the stats sites like you guys do. But, I do like to have a semblance of understanding of what you guys are discussing when I read the boards.
I like what I see in Marino. Hell, if nothing else he gets his shots from the point through! - Brayn
I've learned a lot just asking guys like Boyd and Feds here.
Agree Marino is a nice find. I wouldn't have thought he was having that big of a defensive effect. |
