I got nothing for you. No idea

I believe you and I were laughed at this summer for saying that “if this team sucks this year Botterill deserves to be fired”

Everything on these boards is tired.

why didn't they call up a kid from rochester to play up front, then send him back to rochester today?

This summer we need to have NJ off season. Shuffle out good players for different good players. It's becoming clear a new batch of guys is required, top to bottom.
- TheSabresTaco

Sorry, have I missed something, is NJ good this year? 7-9-4 and 1 point ahead of Detroit for Last in the East?

You’re right.

This team is awesome and everything is fine. When we get vlad Sobodka and Zach Bogosian back this team is going to take off.

Cool. I'm glad.

I don't know.

There must've been a reason, other than the usual "because they're incompetent".

The next 6 games:

Bruins
Panthers
Lightning
Flames
Leafs
Leafs

Maybe 1-3 heading into the home leafs game which will be packed with canadians. If they get humiliated at "home," maybe something will change. Doubtful, but maybe

My guess. They knew Minnesota wasn't that good and thought they could weather the storm.

And then they got blown out of the building by one of the worst teams in hockey.

Josh Allen was named AFC Offensive Player of the Week, so there's that.

(I'm totally expecting a dud next week against Denver, just because)

I actually think Von Miller is young to eat Ford at right tackle alive on Sunday.

you think they are competent?

look at the roster

look at the in season adjustments to the roster

look to the inexperienced head coaches, and look at how many players actually got better with these coaches

botts might be a great drafter, verdict is still out on that

but this is his D, and it sucks

this is his top 9, and they can't score for sh!t

and if casey is a bust, that sets the team back even more

there are plenty of bodies for a trade

hell they are talking about miller being on the trade block already

this season the big additions were
vesey
miller
joker
johansson

well 1 is working, but the coach is holding joker down to minimal minutes

I can't stress this enough, they are pissing away the prime years of eichel

I would trade away future draft choices at this point to get a 2nd line center in here pronto. I'll Give the Ducks Risto, Mtts and a first for Rakell... And I will eat some Salary

Yup every trade we have made was skinner like trade banking on the player to be good or better.

Like Colin Miller for picks. We were hoping to strike lightening in a bottle and hope / pray he could be in the top 4

Vesey for a 3rd
Sheary for a 3rd

So far it hasn’t worked out at all.

I guess we should not rely on cheap fixes to make a big improvement.

You get what you pay for

Jack is trying to do everything. We've seen this script before and it swirls the toilet hole. Short of a trade, which better be coming soon, the only other thing they can do is change up the lines.

Put skinner back on the first line. Make Rino play center.

Skinner, Jack, Vessy
Olfsson, Rino, Mitts
ugh, god, we suck
Ditto

Also, can't we see more of Montour and Dahlin paired up with the first line? Why are Risto and McCabe always playing with Jack's line? (or am I wrong about this?, too busy to check actual stats, but it seems like Dahlin and Eichel are only on the ice together during the power play)

Wow olofsson became public enemy number 1 pretty (frank)in fast
- robz228

Not really.
He has produced on the PP, but surely lacking in the rest of his game, although he does try to play defensively responsible. I see the exact same game that Bethoven described in detail, so no need to rehash it other than to say he is effectively a PP Specialist that has been found d out how to defend...making his one dimensional game less than effeective.

IMO, question is, do you utilize that asset as a chip to secure other areas if need, or do you let it play out and lose value over time?

I didn't back read.

The game was a joke.

This team is a joke.

Montour saying that the bench didn't get a spark after Eichel went after Erickson-Ek is indicative of the lack of urgency or care from the upper management.

The comments from Botts were a joke. Saying you can't trade your defensive depth, just in case should have the pink slip on his desk.

Saying they are looking for a "little help" for the forward ranks is another strike.

Someone, probably Jack, needs to put on his Coach/GM cap and tell the Pegulas to figure this out, fast, or get me out of dodge.

- thatsapickle

And what do u want Botts to say PUBLICLY ?

“Yeah, we desperately need a scoring forward to help out right now”

Well that would do wonders for trade talks,
wouldn’t it?!
Come on now
