Sorry - I don't read every post to ensure I don't miss one directed at me.
I'm thinking about it, which means it's close. The numbers obviously lean in the Nylander side of the trade, but I do like DeBrusk and Heinen ALOT. - RickJames77
I would prefer the Heinen&Debrusk side on that - but surely most Leafs fans would say that they wouldn't event think Debrusk and Heinen is enough for Nylander alone.. |

Barzal? Really? Why?
Mackinnon yes. Barkov, I can understand, he's almost as good as Matthews but Barzal? Really? |

[quote=PatC80]
I have seen Barzal a few times 'live' while in NYC.
He's an awesome player.

Well we are sure happy Jimmy dodged that bullet. So far Barrie looks to have taken 4@4 OFF whatever contract he may get.
Terrible trade. Even worse player usage. - DrunkenCanuck
I don't mind the trade.
Kerfoot is fine and cheaper.
Barrie still has value.
You hate the Leafs and I get it. I do the same when talking about the Canucks.

Gaudreau, Rasmus Andersson (7.5 mil)

Kap, Barrie and Ceci (10.5)

call up Sandin
this stuff is easy - senstroll
seems like the flames have a bunch of cap dumps. does anyone pay attention to them?
rittchit seems like a good backup for us.
need to get a 3-way going with raanta to the flames. |

He probably would have gotten #1 PP usage on the Canucks and lit it up with Pettersson and Boeser.
Babcock is to stubborn to try putting him on our #1 unit.

Rielly is our guy so I get it....
The Leafs probably thought he'd do well on the 2nd unit but he hasn't. He should be but he isn't. |

understood... but the 4th line center - ON THIS TEAM - shouldn't be seeing more than 6-8 minutes a night - except if killing penalties...
the "place" they need that abrasiveness is on the wing beside Matthews and Kerfoot...
they don't have any of that right now.
if they keep promoting the Petan's and Timashov's of the world (and don't get me wrong I like Timashov)... you'll never see a homegrown talent fill that role.
I believe the only way to inject that kind of attitude into the lineup is via trade...
for Josh Anderson type - who can fit in your top-6 and at the same time not be a liability. - BorjeFan4Ever
would love to see Anderson on this team...

It's going to suck when Kadri is suspended for a retaliatory penalty against the Bruins in the playoffs this year tanking the Avs chances. |

Can it be a Leaf fan proposed trade without a 3rd going the other way?

Trading Marner would be utterly stupid.
as well, before doing so - Dubas would be poopcanned. |

I would but we no longer have the combination of Bozak and Gardiner to add with that 3rd rd pick in every deal. |

The game is changing. The roster changed. Babcock will not adapt. Can him Pat. |
