Denver Broncos All-Pro pass rusher Von Miller did a good job talking up Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen in advance of Sunday’s game at New Era Field.

Miller put Allen in elite company — for an unexpected trait — on a conference call with Buffalo-area media Thursday.

“He can escape the pocket, and it’s a challenge to get him down in the open field,” Miller said. “He’s 6-7. He’s got a mean stiff arm like Bo Jackson.”

I think it could be a while before Mitzy hits 50 points. And that may not happen at center either.
I’m fine with keeping Cozens away from the Sabres for this year and perhaps next as well. No sense ruining him by being around this group.

1) you can’t let 40 goal scorers just walk for free. The Sabres need goals and he had 40.

2) this was before the salary cap stayed the same. Botts banked on the cap going up. (Other teams did the same. Look at the Kevin Hayes flyers deal and a couple more)

When the salary cap came out and free agency started, the price of contracts went down.
