I agree with that, but that is the essence of being a fan to some extent. I am not an NFL fan, but the Cleveland Browns fans surely have less to be happy about than Leaf fans. Rangers were 54 years between cups, Leafs are now in similar waters. Hopefully the new coach will see more upside in a big left winger like Engvall than a player like Nick Shore that does little outside of existing.

Yeah and they were winning comfortably. Until it was decided they were giving up too many goals/chances and would emphasize defensive responsibility, despite having an excellent goal differential.

Then goals for dried up but goals against stayed the same. And that's how it's been ever since.

Too bad all the Habs fans got to make that long trip to Toronto every year to demonstrate their parade.

Actually, our prospect pool is pretty deep but I still think it takes two to three years until we are consistently competitive again. Also, winning two cups has allowed me to be okay with the downturn. But you're entitled to your opinion.

I'd (frank)ing take the kings of the last decade as the Leafs. Don't believe the leaf fans who say otherwise. They'd love for the Leafs to win two cups within 3 years and be competitive and then nose dive for a bit.

Because bad sv% isn’t alway due to the tender, sorta like the leafs this year.
