In the absence of pride - in a situation where your team thinks it's OK to treat them like poop - a coach cannot do anything, except work on the attitude.

They sucked in that 3rd period. They have played 8/9 good periods these last three games. Rask stoke one for Boston, they buried their chances against Florida, and were better then the Lightning until a terrible 2 minute stretch in the 3rd period.

They are not a bottom 5 team, might not even be a bottom 10 team. There are still a ton of games to be played.

It is also part the coaches job to get his guys to buy in and play for each other on a nightly basis. However I agree and hopefully botterill does too. They lost whatever grit they had up front when kane and foligno were traded.

Charlie coyle would have been a nice start towards replacing some of that but oh ya he ended up on our perennial playoff conteding division rival

Sabres should have had a 2 man advantage for over a minute to end the period.

Instead they don’t get the call, lose a good player, hit a post and then collapse.

I won’t argue that. The good news, is that Eichel has firmly established himself as a top 10 C in the NHL

Olofsson has points in 8 of his last 10 games.

Reinhart is playing at a career setting pace.

Skinner is a proven scorer even though I’m not a fan of the contract.

Dahlin has been better since I ditched the alt account that jinxed him.

Montour is a good player.
