Yeah, no clue. We haven’t heard much of anything, but knowing what we do about Michael I have to think he’s not winning anyone over. - Rinosaur
I think GMJR is probably moreso focused on the here and now. I’m hoping he continues to give this group time to evaluate what he has. A number of pleasant surprises thus far
Chemical explosions outside of Houston btw. 3 dead. It looks bad ☹️ |

We talked about the Wild earlier this month. They’re 6-2-4 in November and have Ottawa to remain; a win would bring them to .500. Still don’t think they’re a playoff team but they could be sniffing at the bubble for a bit. I wonder what Guerin thinks of the squad so far |

One point I'll give Galchenyuk: he's working his tail off. Always practicing late working on improving. I don't think he's fit with Sully's style, but maybe he appreciate that. But who knows.
I'm curious how he's used once Crosby returns. Back with Malkin? Stay with McCann on a 3rd scoring line? I'm not betting on him, but I'm willing to play it out a bit, same with everyone right now really. |

Charlie Coyle just got 5.25M per year. He's like a 12 goal, 35 point guy. Think about that when you're guessing what Simon, McCann, and Kahun will make. McCann may get more goals this year than Jake did before he signed his deal. |

With every Rusty goal i think about those who wanted him to be traded (bundled with JJ and so on...) this offseason.

It seems to me like Murray generally faces way less shots in his starts than Jarry. I could be wrong.
One thing I've heard goalies say over the years is that they find low event/low shot against games the hardest because they're not in a rhythm and not staying warmed up.
Food for thought 🤔 |

Bad gamble by Ruh there
Sweet finish by Miller. I’ve been off on Galchenyuk (although he’s got 6 in 6) but when the Canucks got Miller I said I thought he’d fit in and put up 65+ and so far he’s been a great fit. He hasn’t been on that top line all season but he just finds ways to contribute. The exact kind of player we needed imo. Versatile, gritty when he needs to be, younger guy, lots of experience |

Definitely tough to face your first shot after 12 mins.
Could it be that the team is trying harder to prevent shots on MM because he’s been leaky?

"Jake Guentzel benefits from playing with Sidney Crosby just like everyone who does."
this sentence made my head hurt.
pensfan024
You do realize that Geno is a world class center too? I mean, nobody is saying Jake isn't good, but it is 100% true that any winger in the world would benefit from playing with Sidney Crosby. That's like saying Kurri didn't benefit from playing with Gretzky. It's just absurd. |

Absolutely nobody was expecting him to be a point a game guy with 9 goals in 14 games.
But as someone who was willing to trade him, I don't want to right now (no need for cap space now). Let's see how he finishes though, had 8 goals in 6 games last year too and it didn't last.
EDIT- although if he sticks as a righty on the top PP.... |

Obviously that will not continue with that pace, but he plays with heart and an ok cap hit.
