I said many times something to the effect of "I cant believe he's only letting one guy go, and that one guy was probably our 5th best forward last year"

I did pick a lane. A lot of poopty players should have been tossed. Pominville was not poopty

- jcragcrumple

Pominville certainly was sh!tty. At times, he was downright invisible.

The only time he wasn't was when he was playing with Eichel.

Wait until it goes public that Skinner is pissed playing with a 5th line center.
- SABRES 89

Maybe we can get a good return for him then so we don’t have to sit around here and b**** over the last 4 years of that deal.

I'm officially declaring it time to Fire Botts. I've seen enough. Montour playing forward. Sobotka on the second line. Eichel punches someone's head into orbit and the team admits they don't even get fired up in the slightest. Mittelstadt is a bust for the second year in a row. Whether that's because he's a bust draft pick, or a good draft pick ruined by being rushed, both would be on Botts. Larsson, Girgensons, Erod, all given raises after one of the most embarrassing seasons in sabres history.

All this pooping on the blue and gold during the 50th season has reached a breaking point. Enough. Fire the incompetent GM. Fire his coach who thinks dumping the puck on every shift to the other team is a good thing.

Terry needs to clean (frank)ing house and bring someone in to cull this (frank)ing roster of lazy, dead weight, untalented players. Too many guys on this team who don't score and don't hit. It's really that simple, if you can't score you better be mean. Larsson has no value. Girgensons has no value. Sobotka has no value. Bogosian is a giant who can't even push someone.

After the fool of a GM assembled the product he did in 2018-2019, his only salvation would rightly have been to have culled 6-7 of the dead weight players from that team. Instead he showed his bold faced disregard for the consumers who pay to watch his filth product by spitefully returning every single player except Pominville. He had his chance to show he was willing to do what it takes to win, and he didn't. Now we watch as the blue and gold Crest is disgraced again this season by the same players.

Until the day this fool is fired, there is little else to say. Fire Botts.

New GM comes in. Needs time to assess roster, makes no changes whatsoever for a good year, fires coach, hire old school coach who loves Ristolainen and McCabe. Time is a flat circle

People are talking about toughness and want Pominville back? Jesus. Softest dude ever to wear the blue and gold, AND Lindy made him the captain. yikes!!

Pretty much. Pominville at best has zero effect on the win column. At worst, it's negative at this point.

No, Kruger is the one doing the lines, not Botts
- jdfitz77

maybe it's time to question if kruger is the right man for this team

Debating whether pominville or Vesey would be more useless this year is pointless. But Risto, plus that 3rd and the 2nd from Miller probably would have got us something good for the 2nd line. Pominville probably would have more goals than Vesey.

Instead of the scattershot "trade crap for crap" approach, package multiple assets for one actually good player

Who cares that he's crying?

They ALL need to step up. Skinner included. (frank)ing guy got paid.

Only when you hire crap GM's.

How many coaches and GM's did the bills hire and fire? Finally found a decent coach (IMO), and bang, playoffs likely for the second time in three years.

Every year, teams go from bad to good. If after three years your team is as bad or worse than they were...fire Botts.

I wasn't able to watch the game last night, but I had said yesterday he needed to be with Mittelstadt if not with Eichel. It appears he was last night. He can't use Rodrigues as an excuse anymore.

- Pegullaville

Thanks Pegs, I am frustrated to, I am really pissed about what took place last night, but that's on the players and not Botts. I will give him some more time, cause I actually think he's done a decent job for what he was handed when he got here. Still these players need to grow a pair

it's rare a 40 goal scorer gets split up from the all star center in year one of a coaches tenure with a new team

Even if we end up picking bottom 5-10 this year, Botts will have been the best thing to have happened to Buffalo since 2005.

You’ll find out why in a few years when his draft picks are done developing.

I'm all for trying something else (like putting Skins back with Jack), but I can see Ralph's thought process regarding spreading out the talent, at least.

It ain't working, though.

Hopefully Mojo is back tomorrow?

Skinner & MoJo seemed to play well together
No way we could know MoJo would get hurt

- jdfitz77

Mojo is a wing... shouldn’t be playing at center. Good in a pinch. Not a long term plan.

For those who want a whole new culture, someone like Brian Burke is the way to go. No BS.

I like Botts and see the vision. MoJo being hurt really screwed us.

The in game decisions and lines are troubling.

It will if Cozens is.

I’m as disappointed with Mittelstadt as everyone else is but I’ve seen glimpses of talent. He had 5 shots last night and their line was pretty good 5v5 and he even missed 3 shots high.

I’d like to see this look for 10 games and if after that Mitts doesn’t show any life then I’ll be concerned.

Skinner with Jack didn't do much for the team last year either even though he scored 40 goals in his contract year. 9 goals more than Drew Stafford in his contract year which makes sense because Skinner has more natural talent.
