Sorry to go off topic, but has the Flames coach been proven to be discriminatory towards minorities over the course of his career? I know little about him or any new details beyond the incident and the phrase African American music.
It seems he didn't like the locker room music, and said to the player in charge words to the effect of; "This music is no good crap, it's African American this, and African American that, African American f another African American... I'm tired of this African American music." Then later on, he hadn't yet thought better of it and used his genre title again while insisting the player change what was played in the room. I never saw where the player alleged that he directed the slur towards the player, or any other person. Has any pattern of discrimination been shown outside of this incident? Almost seems like he just used a forbidden word ten years ago. - Ratsreign
well he's currently getting poop on by pretty much anyone he's encountered about what he is like as a human, so probably not much benefit of the doubt |

its not like theres a csv feed of events, they are being scraped from pretty oddly structured html files and can easily be done wrong - robz228
All they do is subtract PP and PK time from TOI. It's not hard.
FiveThiryEight uses them, so there's at least one "person" of "importance". |

The Sabres are not a good enough team to be protected by the DoPS. Anyway, Sabre players didn’t seem too bothered by it. - PrinceChill
They're trying to make this a skating, finesse league. As that occurs, there will be less and less teams that have goons who can fight on any given shift. We're a soft team, no arguments, but the refs are who have the ability to stem the tide of cheap hits. We got wronged twice now, long term injuries from the looks of things.
(frank) their two games is all I'm saying and (frank) those refs. (frank)ing obvious. (frank)ing oblivious.
Rant done. |

The refs aren’t going to change. There seem to be teams and players where their eyesight gets a little worse in terms of catching penalties. It’d be nice to be on the other side of this equation at some point, but thus far the Sabres have not yet achieved that level of success. |

Edit; Holy guacamole, Eklund The N word is censored into THAT?? Maybe you should just go with "n word" - Ratsreign
I do find it problematic he could be fired from his current job over something that happened 10 years. I would hope maybe he's grown or learned from that since then.
On the other hand, don't go around dropping n bombs and you won't have this problem
¯\_(ツ)_/¯ |

If the wussy players don’t defend their own, why should DOPS?
Buncha pansies! - Da_Cashman
what an asinine comment, DOPS should protect players because it is literally their one and only job to do.
Has nothing to do with how the team does or does not respond. |

In Germany they call rap, hip-hop, R&B... literally "black music".

Exactly, I think they were trying to win the game at the time, not take another penalty.

Agreed. I'm just tired of it.
What happened to the good old days? When I played, if a ref missed a call like that, we'd blast him on a dump-in on the next play. You never get caught and eventually, even blind mice can learn to find cheese. |

Skinner on the 3rd line, he was pissed before playing with a 5th line center but it didn't go public. I'm sure this will do the trick of that happening now. |

No. Not from him. No. He did this all damn summer and leading up to the fall, he wants attention because the real "sauces" have actually called trades. He has been throwing poop at the wall and hoping it sticks. |

It's actually mind-blowing they signed him and just won't play him with Eichel.

Hey, at least he’s still playing forward. He could be like, 7th defenseman or backup goalie soon. |

Flames would make sense for a deal based on what Botterill said.
He hinted that sometimes teams have guys on LTIR and don't have space to make a move.
Sam Bennett is on LTIR right now.
All I know is I have a fever, and the only known prescription is more Bogo |

Bogo = Cow Bell
Very unnecessary, not really good for anything, but I still need more |

I wonder if the Sabres health insurance premiums will go down once he leaves in FA? |
