Great question. Obviously at 2 Eichel & Skinner, Hall (reason for this question today), Dahlin, but maybe not after a bridge? Reinhart can’t get that much, Mitts won’t get that for years and playing well, Oloffson will have to prove it another few years before getting that return, that would be 3, for a few more years (4-5) unless we pay some one else big in FA.

Btw, 8 straight losses for Hutton - solid!! Both teams made the mistake of playing backup goalies in this home and home and paid for it.

He’s a special talent no doubt about it, but I take Eichel every time.

Matthews shows up on the score sheet cause it takes him 2 shifts to affect a game.

Every time Eichel is on the ice he makes a play and possess the puck in the offensive zone (more then anyone else in the NHL btw CBC showed it before the game started).

Trading real assets for an expiring contract like Hall isn't Botterill's style. He seems more into trading lesser parts for someone like Skinner than trading a haul AND having to pay big, long term like he would have to for Hall.

As much as I’d love the help in the top six, I have to agree. Hall just isn’t a great fit for what it would take to get him and then keep him.

These last few games have settled me down a little but botts still has to do something in December to help his forwards...

IMO the eye test on Bogo says he has quite a way to go before he returns to form. He looks quite weak, timid along the boards from a physicality perspective, and much slower especially off-the-line. It seems like he needs quite a bit of strength training for his legs in particular.
Hopefully he comes around over the next month so he has a strong lead into the TDL timeframe.

DVR'd the game as per usual, but instead of fast-forwarding the entire game until I see something good happen, I only fast-forwarded during breaks in the action (whistle, commercial, intermissions). One more thing I fast-forward through which I don't see changing anytime soon is the power play. Our power play is a guaranteed 2 minutes when we're not going to score. 1 for the last 37 ... that's disgusting

Yeah sounds like a long shot. Wasn't there a rumor from GR that the Sabres had something going with a Western conference team that could happen at the end of November.

The contracts on those two are absolutely horrible, especially given their age and remaining term.
