According to some on this blog Simon alone is worth Hall+.
Couldn't see this deal with the Pens, I don't think they have the pieces.
Whatever happened to Drouin? I see his name in trade rumors, he looked like the next stud F in that bolts series a few years ago and goes to MTL and never hear from him. |

They really should try Galch on geno’s rw. Has to be better than Simon. - 10inchTerror
That's what I was thinking, try to at least get Galch going. |

I think Drouin would be a much more realistic option to go after. |

I didn’t say any whining about Jarry yesterday and he definitely wanted two of those back. |

That rush is another reason I don't like Simon. Never mind he can't score a goal to save his life. He had the puck on his stick twice with time and space and passed to Malkin then Guentzel. |

I get that but he was solid that playoff year and no one could understand why the bolts kept him back. |

No one is thinks Simon is worth Hall+. That’s (frank)ing retarded.
Drouin never looked like the next forward stud. He was always overrated. Everyone who’s anything knew MacKinnon was going to be the stud from that team/draft class. |

Dominik Simon has a career 6.8% sh%. Is there another “top 6” forward with one that low?
I said the same thing before when he was in the top 6 and I wanted Rust. He’s fine when he’s there but I think we can do better. I honestly think Kola might produce more in than spot and I don’t think Galchenyuk would do worse. Still don’t know why Kahun isn’t given a shot there - we need wins! |

Stanley Cups are a team trophy, last i checked MM has no vezina trophies. Blackwood is a rookie goalie with alot of promise and Jarry is just as good as MM already.
I'd much rather watch Hall speeding down the wing sniping wristers than Murray letting in a couple softies every game. - stackthepads
...And you can just sign Taylor Hall and not give up anything for him... if this was a guy who is signed under contract for 3+ years, I would agree with you. But you trade a goalie, who I agree about his contract situation, who has considerable value for a guy who could play for your team for 3 months and then leave. That is just horrible asset management. That is no better than trading Taylor Hall for an average defenseman like the Oilers did.
The Penguins will have a tough decision with Murray's contract. Personally, I think a goalie in the $4-6M range is good on a 4-5 year deal. Once you get over $6M and over 5 years, you are asking for trouble. |

Galchenyuk’s brain when he has to dump the puck in “fuq you puck, get deep so I don’t ride pine” |
