Fun watching when your team is winning, just that we were in that Boston game was a plus, still frustrating to blow a 2 goal lead but at least we got a point. Let's keep growing and compete for that last playoff spot and it's a good season. Playoffs somehow obviously would be gravy

Playoffs would be (frank)ing awesome. I didn't think they would compete this year, but if they make it, oh man, that would be fun

I am not convinced that this is a playoff bound team yet, but it is nice to even have the conversation!

I single handily got Tanner's new blog removed from site!! You're all welcome 😊

He brought up Politics, again, and it looks like Ek finally shut him down

Yup. It's almost like every time he is out there the line has a prime scoring chance. Now with Chytil back and playing great and Zib back, I think the team could start to become a group for the future
- mdw7413

Zib didn't miss a beat coming back in game shape. Nice to know even if Panarin gets shut down, there are other offensive threats. Panarin is just incredible to watch, he's so electric.

Losing was a letdown, but they held their own and got a point against one of the top teams in the NHL.
A lot can happen between now and playoffs. Not getting my hopes up just yet, I can see them coming awfully close to earning a WC spot.

And that's more than we've had the past few seasons here so I'll take it. Improvement from the kids and effort everynight, all we can ask.

rrentz'y, thats neither nice nor punk-rock...

Hope Mr. Kreider steps up tomorrow, for Mr. Tanner and me - staying on ice/bench till end of game would be a good beginning.

Just listened to a little Street Dogs today in car. Good stuff 👍

Nice? No, but funny as hell! Kreider is what he is....a player with ALL of the tools to be a force, except between the ears! He will never put together a full season of consistency

Will be curious to see how history will judge Holland for not trading Puljujarvi by yesterday's deadline. He allowed an asset to stay in Europe rather than help his current roster. I wonder how Connor McDavid views this decision?

I don't think Jesse can ever walk back into that locker room, and rather than cut bait, Holland held firm in demanding a high return. Its his right of course, but I think he made a big mistake. He should have added to this years team and moved on. Even if he trades him at the draft this coming summer, that doesn't help his team this winter. And are the trade offers going to get any better as time goes on?

This isn't even about trading him to the Rangers --- he should have traded him to any team to end this distraction. We shall see...

yep, that Oilers team has a shot this year and anything would have helped

I do think they are severely limited by the cap though

It was a huge blunder on Holland's part. Jesse has shown zero at the NHL level and flopped playing on a line with the best player in the league. If any team in the league was offering more than the Rangers, Holland should have taken that and ran to the bank with it. He probably should have laughed at just receiving Lias. I don't see how his trade value does anything than go down at this point, no matter how many goals he scores in the Euro league. The guy is just another Yakupov IMO.

Spit take this morning Adam Herman "Jacob Trouba has been the Rangers least reliable player"

I usually laugh at their insanely bad takes, but I have to say I felt a bit triggered after reading that.

so (frank)ing dumb

he's doing all the dirty work on the right side of the blueline that's enabling Fox and DeAngelo to do their things offensively.

Trouba leads the entire team in icetime, is out there for every penalty kill and will probably end up with 200 hits this year and the points are starting to come too.

I hate NYR bloggers, and of them except Jan.

I love the gem that came after that line "What happens in Fox and ADA pass Trouba on the depth chart?"

Well, I'd say that would be a pretty good problem to have.

Trouba is even further proof that CF% is all about zone starts

I mean, just look at it

https://www.hockey-refere.../players/t/troubja01.html

It's Trouba's fault he's out there 59% of the time for defensive zone draws?

Is it coincidence we haven't seen much of Brukie the last couple of weeks as the team has been playing pretty good?

Thanks a lot for making me seek that poop site out. Almost all of the people weighing in on those talking points had hilariously bad takes. They also appear to just want the team to suck. I don't get it.

Tight loss for you last week.

Speaking of crack head takes, take a look at Eklunds latest nonsense. He says Johnny Gaudreau is being talked about in trades.

People who swear by advanced stats like they do, almost always double down and hope to be proven right no matter what the consequences of doing so would be. Rather than focusing on that despite the Rangers having bad stats the team is competitive, they would rather just state that the sky will be falling soon.

As much as I said we should have traded him last summer, I want nothing more than Strome to be proven to be a reliable 2C for this team for the future, just to rub it in their faces.

What to do with Chytil then? It seems like an envious position to be in but that seems like it will be an expensive Center core. Although Zib is pretty reasonable at the moment.
