Probably. All Russians lie about their age - CanuckDon
No different with Cuban players in baseball... they have 40 year olds playing in the little league world series. |

Also Mark Borowiecki witnessed a car break in yesterday in Gastown. Clotheslined the guy off his bike when dude tried to flee. About to meet cops to give back the bag which had passports in it.

For Tuesday given no practice or line rushes easiest to have Zacmac take center 4LC.
Question then becomes who plays on his wing, either Roussel to ease him in or LE.
Unless, against less dangerous Sens, Goldy gets back in to play in top 6, bumping LE if Roussel gets in.

Perhaps one game of Miller at Centre until we have some healthy bodies
Goldy - Peterrsson - Boeser
LE - Horvat - Pearson
Leivo - Gaudette - Virtanen
Schaller - Miller - Roussel

After Sens game Canucks have the rest of the week off to practice until Sabers game. Its likely Green will make his big changes then to revamp the line up with Ferland, Roussel plus Beagle. Maybe Sutter too since he was on the ice training with Demko.
Guessing this is Greens go to Healthy Saturday line up:
JTM Petey BB
Roussel Bo Ferland
Pearson Gaudette Sutter
Leivo Beagle JV |

Also, fun battle in the pool last week! - boonerbuck
Congrats to you!
I was getting hammered so badly, I broke my "buy and hold" strategy and finally accepted a trade, which I think is the only reason I was even close. Thank god for Chris Kreider's game misconduct!
My goalies have been keeping me in this thing.

Hughes could use that type of protection. |

Ferland just today was placed on LTIR? - manvanfan
It's retroactive - he has now been out more than 30 days, since Oct 30, so he qualifies for LTIR.
It's a cap move so the Canucks can recall players.

Because they recalled Chatfield they have to stay under the cap. ‘Since it's retroactive the 10 game/24 day minimum for Ferland has already passed so he can be taken back off LTIR whenever, so it doesn't mean a whole lot other than the fact that Ferland was the one chosen’ |

Very good.
Thank you and to Nucker below as well.
Did he fly out to Pitt as they had planned for him? Didn't make a lot of sense if he wasn't going to play. |

Yeah, he has been skating with the team for a few days now.
If I remember correctly, he did his first reps with the main group in a non-contact jersey in Edmonton...on Friday? Wouldn't commit to when he thought he'd be back, though. Just taking it one day at a time.

Yeah I found that weird as well, I assume they had some big team dinner/even planned or just wanted to get Ferland some practice reps |

I guess it makes no difference who goes on LTIR. Obviously the Canucks would do the best to maximize if they needed too.
Sutter seems like he might be further away from returning than Ferland is.
Once Ferland comes off then Sutter can go on there. |

LTIR only makes a difference for the amount you can go over the cap when players are injured. If they aren’t at the cap with guys like Mac/Grav/Gauds called up then putting someone on LTIR doesn’t make a difference. |
