“As a coach he is extremely meticulous and well prepared. He is very good at putting a team together and getting everyone to buy into it. That’s his strong side,” Franzen told the newspaper. “But then, he’s a terrible person, the worst I have ever met. He’s a bully who was attacking people. It could be a cleaner at the arena in Detroit or anybody. He would lay into people without any reason.”
-Franzen
“What he did to [Mike] Modano was incredibly disrespectful. What he did to, just recently, [Jason] Spezza in Toronto — those were the things that are so unnecessary,” he explained.
“He tried to healthy scratch me in the outdoor game in Wrigley Field against Chicago because he knew it was my hometown — just things that were so unnecessary, to show he’s the boss, to show his general manager he’s the boss,” Chelios said. “That’s he’s on a power thing, his ego — that’s a big part of his personality.”

Can't find the Ferraro qoute but he said yesterday that Babcocl likely doesn't get a job again and that his antics are amateurish.
-Ferraro
“At an early age I think guys can handle it. You go out there and play and it kind of rolls off your back,” added Modano, who compared Babcock’s style to how Ken Hitchcock ran the Stars teams of the mid-90s and early-2000s. “As you get older you’re like, ‘I’ve heard this song and dance, it’s a broken record, deal with me like a normal human.’”

We share stories throughout the years with each other and for those outside the locker rooms, you will never truly understand some of the terrible undeserving things Babs has done to his some of his players. You don’t have to like all your coaches, but he is one

who 95% of his players can’t say a good thing about. With the ability to end players careers, he’s chosen to do so to long serving vets that have resulted in all his players turning against him. He’s used his power to turn teammates against each other, and choose to continuously

lie to his players. @commie22 may have strong public opinions of Babs, but in our fraternity of #NHL and former #NHL players, he’s speaking for the masses. He’s speaking for countless players who have personally told me their terrible stories of Babs just being a bad guy.

Obviously not every player, but from what I gathered Joel Quenville was a very well liked players' coach during his time in Chicago. Again, just from what I've read. I'm sure there's some poop buried somewhere. - RickJames77

Mike Commadore too
but Max said Babs is a good guy and all those "countless players" are douchebags, each and every one of them..
O'Dog? lolol Babs is a bad person? It is amazing that in front of camera's and behind the bench he seemed fine, never lost his cool once, always said the right things. Even when teh team struggled he never threw them under the bus. Barely saw him yell or make a fuss. Only person he ever took shots at was Dubas and the type of players he was given. Is O'dog a good person? What does this mean? Was Tie Domi a good person? Tucker? Is Torts a good person? - Hockey_Reverend

Well, then, I'll just claim they are douche bags and go about my day thinking that Quenville is the hockey version of Jesus Christ, who was born from the virgin mother Mary and her unbroken Zach Hyman.
i don't doubt babs rubs some people the wrong way.
frazen is a big boy.
if he can't handle getting called out for mistakes, than that is his problem. he needs to figure out what's wrong in his head that makes him so sensitive.
and chelios was a complete bumhole; that just sounds like sour grapes. - Tumbleweed

That's it? That's the best they got? I love Chelios claiming he scratched him for the outdoor game just because it was his hometown. Maybe its because you were old and sucked and didn't deserve to play?

*Ignores Mark Fraser saying 95% of players tell him bad stories of Babcock*
Mark Fraser said that he speaks for many players. I don't expect your ignorant mind to believe him so I gave you hard examples above.

To be fair, Chelios did say more than just that.
Also claims that Babs said you're only role on this team is to babysit Brett Lebda
