It was never that simple. Toronto found a team willing to take Zaitsev's dirty bird contract in exchange for one year of having to pay an even worse defenseman, while keeping the cap hits basically the same. Personally, I think Glasses did ok there. Moving outside of that bubble, his defense is hilariously bad.

So it's always an absolute pleasure anytime we can completely shut down their elite players. I know Tavares is one of the game's good guys (outside of NYI), but I'd be lying if I didn't wish death upon him this past weekend.

Shutting down Matthews and watching Eichel torch them is like a little Christmas gift for me, every time.
