And if they were pending UFA’s at 27 years old this year they’d get 14-15 mil per as opposed to 9.
So..... - sbroads24
How much would Eichel cost if he were a UFA after this season? |

Im not asking to go back in time.
When being the 2nd overall pick is brought up as the reason 60pt seasons arent good enough then its reasonable to compare, and desire more out of your 2nd overall pick - ieetbred

Should a doctor make as much as an Uber driver?
You get paid for your importance.
Skinner and his agent didn’t have to squeeze every penny out of Botts. He could of signed the 6x7 year deal and been a hero for taking the home town discount. Now he sits and pouts about who he is and isn’t playing with. Sounds like a winner to me.
He signed on the dotted line, that comes with the responsibility of that contract. - Pegullaville
You get offered $90K for your job but could take $70K and be a hero in the office. What are you going to do: take the $70K? He should fight for every dollar. |

I use him and a D while he still has good value for an upgrade for a better forward. Sometimes trades are used to upgrade talent and not add to your inconsistent talent. - GilPerreault11
99% of all talent is inconsistent. Why? There are players on the other team each night also putting forth an effort. |

I'm sure you said the same thing during the rising and maintaining of mediocrity in the later Darcy core years with Vanek, Miller, Pominville, Roy, Connolly etc and that none of them could be touched either. Sometimes teams need upgrades in talent. The only untouchables for me are Jack, Dahlin, Cozens, UPL, this year's 1st and maybe another prospect or two. The Joker would cost a lot, and Ulmark isn't going anywhere. The rest of them if an upgrade could be had I'd listen for a trade or two. - GilPerreault11
Ok, so who are you getting for Reinhart and a defenseman that is an upgrade? |

Were singling our players on pace for 32 even strength goals, and another guy on pace for a solid season though.
Why are we not on Hutton, Rodrigues, Okposo, Sheary?
Reinhart and Skinner are legitimately like 2 of the 6 really good players we have - sbroads24

It’s on Botts to sign the only-merely-good Sam to the cheapest contract he can. And with him being such a great GM, that ought to be easy to achieve. - PrinceChill
He did last time with Reinhart. |

You’re out with friends,
having beers & wings,
and watching hockey...
And you’re on your phone,
and on Hockeybuzz
WOW
That’s pretty sad dude
Put away your phone & go have fun
Next time,
just whine about Skinner to your real life friends and spare us all for a few hours
Thanks in advance - jdfitz77
You’re just mad he didn’t invite you to the park. |

Then there’s nothing to worry about, concerning his next contract. |

That feeling you get when the leafs are just as poop with their new coach, for the same reasons they were poop with the old one - ieetbred
Yes they need to trade their goalie, their coach, any defence man making less than 5 mil a year and bring in another 10 mil a year superstar to work with the other high end payscale saviours |

Spector's has the Sabres trade capital for Hall as Mitts, Pilut and lottery protected 1st. Think I would have to have that conversation with Shero. |

We would have to move out some salary though as well. He has a $6M cap hit.
I would be worried about what the extension would look like. You don’t move that capital to acquire hall if it’s just to be a rental. |

Nnaaahhhh! He’s a LW right? I’m off the Hall wagon. Bring me the center from Tampa. Cerilli (spelling). I’m not giving up assets for a rental that’s going to cost huge money at a position of strength (skinner, olo, Vesey). How many do you need?

It doesn't say anything about that, but I would hope that Botts would be smart enough to have that in place before he would do it. |

So no balance in the team and jack the cap up for future signings. So you can have you second $9-$11 million LW playing with erod and asplund. We’ve been patient this long. Bring me the younger Tampa center. |
